I Spent 100 Days in Sons of The Forest and Here's What happened

There's a lot that needs added/improved. But honestly what there is is actually very fun. Me and my group are on like day 20 or something and have no intention of finishing this game anytime soon. We're too busy building our shore base until the winter freezes the lake and then we can make a lake base.

The reason why Virginia never came back is because after you attacked her the first time, every time she came back after that, you always took your weapon out and walked towards her. That scares her and she finally got tired of it.

@@RayofpandasGamingChannel whenever you see her you should put you weapons away and keep distance. She'll come and run multiple times and eventually she'll bring you a present (blueberries in my case) after that approach without a weapon and she won't run. Now she trusts you. If you want her to come aboard you should spend some time with her. I don't know exactly how long but getting steam achievement about her is a guarantee. I did not try attacking her so I don't know if you messed up or not but if you still see her do what I told you.

@@RayofpandasGamingChannel When she points at a monster, kill it for her. If she calls you to follow her, do it. When she becomes friends with you, hand over the gun to her. Both pistol and shotgun in her hands will shelter you always with infinite ammo; you’ll not even need to fight then.

A day in SOTF is 36 minutes: 24 minutes of daytime and 12 minutes of nighttime. Considering that he slept every night(which he probably didn't), that's at least 40h of gameplay for the 100 days. This video was posted 6 days after release day, so lets say 5 days of gameplay because editing and uploading. 5 days is 120h, and assuming he took 7h of daily sleep and 2h of eating, that leaves 75h of free time during those 5 days. This man used AT LEAST 53% of his free time for 5 days straight, plus editing just to give us some nice early content, THAT'S dedication man! Nice video btw

You were actually so close to so many things... what the heck, haha. I definitely slept more then not, but I got to around 33 hours of gameplay for 100 days. 5 days was used, first 3 on about 10 plus hours each and then a day to edit the rough draft and last day to finalize everything, upload to youtube with all the meta data/thumbnail stuff. Didn't sleep much and I don't much either when I work on certain videos. I probably should take better care of myself, but when I get to work I forget about the outside world. Sad you didn't get the experience with Virginia, she's pretty badass. If you do choose to play again, a tip for when she visits, put your weapon away and be still (she'll do this a few times before she is completely on your side 😊) Wonderful video as always, been loving the game so far and I can't wait to see what they add.

Nah he was just really slow I think by day 20 we had a massive base and a rope gun system set up around the island and has every item in the game

I know the entire game already and never played it -- and I honestly dunno when I'll play it bc a pc to run it at its very minimal is 8k+ in this hellhole of a country I live in (Brazil btw) and the game itself isn't cheap either. Also I'm unemployed, what makes everything worse :shrugs: But one thing I found out while watching multiple LPs is that there's a sh*t ton of stuff to do anyways and I'd probably have that "beginner's thrill" one way or the other

You can use your rope gun to make a zipline for wood. If you build a storage at they end of the zipline the woods will automatically fall in the storage that is ideal for collecting wood faster.

My 6 year old son has cried 3 times today because of how much he loved this “beautiful game.” I don’t know what you’re doing, but we spent an hour and a half together ogling the beauty. He said he loved the part at the end where the player can choose between staying or leaving in the helicopter. And the part where you can see the “dimension where the demons are wearing clothes.” And he said that the music at the end made him feel good. The first one is The Forest. It’s on every platform. Sons of The Forest is the sequel & only on PC. Theres a lot of things that are the same, but a lot that are different. Graphics, add-on’s. New cannibals, new missions. Just better.

as far as i know that old guy that has a voiceline ("Get down son!") is the guy We played as in "The Forest". and the other guy is his son, the kid we tried to save last game. i dont actually remember the endings, so this game is probably the sequel of the ending that our son is saved and wont mutate into a creature.

Ok idk if u know but artifact 1 is from THE FOREST, in which a man has his plane taken down by a company called Sahara pharmaceuticals and he looks for his son Timmy, find the Sahara lab and kills Megan cross which is a little girl that turns into a monster for the company, after he kills her he tries to sacrifice her in attempt to save his son, but it doesn't work so he goes to the top of the mountain and shoots a plane down with a compatible child to sacrifice in order to have his son to be revived by artifact 1, and the family you are looking for works against Sahara pharmaceuticals. I just wanted to say that js to let you know. The name of the game is called THE FOREST, the name of this game is called SONS OF THE FOREST.

I also had no idea what the connection was between both games until now. It's interesting to see that the people from SoTF worked against The Forest and goes a bit deeper then that with the artifact. I must say, I underestimated success of the first game, because as evidently turned out, this one was a massive success as well, even though it still is in Early Access - in the first day, the game sold 2 million copies, something that Endnight was proud to announce. As if the wall of "Your friend now owns Sons of the Forest" wasn't indicative enough. Makes me wonder if the injection of cash is going to speed up the exit from Early Access... One can only hope.

I fell hard for the game on initial release and really do treat it with so much like the first. Obviously the first game had a decade of updates and fixes, but this game has real potential to be the next best thing!

Yeah, the backpack idea was a bit wacky at first, but it slowly grew on me. Definitely a nice touch months later!
