A German test magazine reviewed mattrasses and favored a medium or rather low priced one. They also recommend a rigid slatted frame underneath - the cheap solution. I use that mattress, it is fine. Don't let ads and influencers scare you into believing that a bed must be expensive for healthy, comfy sleep.

Great video. Would love to know more about the 60-30-10. I am starting to redo my primary bedroom in our condo. I have had a darker colour for a long time but I am wanting to create a different look. Trim is decorators white and I am doing the walls in Coventry Grey (sorry I know it is grey). Fabric headboard panels in black. Black nightstands. No dresser as all clothes are going to be in the re done closets. An accent chair. White duvet. I am looking at wall scones and some other type of accent lighting. I have always wanted a bedroom in these tones which to me is relaxing and quiet.

I have a jr one bedroom with a very small 12x12 room. I can only put the bed under the larger of my two windows. I didn’t want it directly under the window, but honestly it only works there. I just had to have drapery panels, but couldn’t raise them all the way to the ceiling because there’s a soffit above the window (hate it) . Yes, my room is as you say dark and moody. My dominate color is deep chocolate brown, but I contrast it with grays and white. I did make sure the headboard did not exceed the window sill.

Hello, and thank you for today’s video, but explain for me why it is a divided question when it comes to having faux plants for some interior designers, while for me it’s fine having it if it looks well made and quite real, like orchids, I own 2 of them. And trust me they look more real than the real Stuff 😊
@syruscloud7277 Жыл бұрын
thats more of an authenticity thing.plants are living organisms and replacing them with plastic gives some people the ick. same goes for things like fake books on shelves or eating off of plastic plates. removing the very essence and purpose of something just for astethic can come across as shallow and tacky. of course you can do it for some nice pictures but designers will probably roll their eyes. having said that. i also cant always keep my plants alive and honestly don´t have the patience to look after them. a good alternative are dried flowers imo.
@kitty_s2345611 ай бұрын
A designer who practices feng shui said that plants shouldn't be in the bedroom, because they have too much active energy (they're alive) and the bedroom should be restful. If you opt for fake plants or flowers, she recommended those made of silk.

@kitty_s2345611 ай бұрын
Hi. If you believe or practice feng shui, having the head of the bed below a window is a no-no. However, if you don't have a choice, the solution is to have a solid headboard and to close the drapes or blinds.

I’m also one of those weirdos that makes his bed everyday and am not a serial killer either. 🤣I loved your video but there are a few things I would add. With respect to art, it should be something that is very sensual and relaxing. Not something the disturbs your sleep. Also there are certain thing that don’t belong in a bedroom. The first one is a TV. I know a lot of people are going to disagree but a bedroom is for two purposes, one of the is sleeping and the other is not watching TV. I would also add workout equipment and a work area, they both can disrupt sleep. I live in a condo in the city on the 15th floor, which has great views but the windows don’t open so I like your idea of getting an air purifier. I just need to find one that is not overly bulky and distorted the aesthetics of the room

And let me tell you if I'm going to purchase a Sean Levin light fixture you can damn well make sure that I will be turning that light on for eternity so you can see my light fixture. So people yes use your overhead lighting. It gives you a greater circumference. If you're in the living room, use the overhead lighting if you're working on a project. If you're doing puzzles, the overhead lighting is there for a reason.
