Not being able to clear MOC as f2p is the biggest complaint I hear from everyone that I know who plays the game. IT'S a HUGE demoralizing thing, and feels awful to the point that I think it's making people get tired of the game.. Just knowing that there is an unwinnable level, and constantly rolling bad RNG, makes many people quit.

Personally it's more that teams I built that used to full clear easily can't anymore. First gacha so maybe this is just the reality check you get in any gacha but it does make me not really want any of the upcoming units anymore. Also it makes the game feel a lot 'smaller', so to speak. Since you know your teambuilding options really only consist of the handful of top meta units.

The reality is, star rail is straying away from casual gameplay. I'm well invested F2P player, I still find it difficult to clear. So to be able to clear this, not only they have to get better in gameplay but they also have to invest more time grinding and studying rotations. There are times that even MOC 10 and 11 feels like hell with the inflation.

Well, it depends because I skipped all follow up Attack based characters and concentrate on Dot and break which result in me skipping feixiao even though I like her design. But I managed to auto play MoC and PF but manual Apocalyptic shadow to get full star

I gave everything a minimum investment I felt relevant to clear things in 5 cycles since you don't get anything extra above, and to this day I didn't have to update any builds, clearing things anywhere between 3 and 5 cycles purely on matchup and rotation. The current buff is restrictive, but the hp is no issue at all, just balanced around this buff. So players who don't get how endgame rotations work have a harder time

It's funny how some of the "F2P" players are claiming that they cleared MOC "as an F2P". I can confidently say, as a DAY 1 PLAYER AND AN F2P that it's nigh impossible for the newer players. Even old players are going to have trouble keeping up with no limited banner character let alone players who don't have a dedicated limited banner team. My message to all the "F2P players" in the comment section who are claiming that they have cleared MOC 12 as an "F2P" is this: STFU and accept that HSR is getting unfair and messy at this point. We had this complain all way back in 2.0 when MoC 12 boss has almost 2 mil HP, and guess what, f2players were still barely able to clear them, it's the same this time as well. What "newer players" are we talking about, have they been playing since 2.3? 2.4? That's not long enough to 36-star imo, MoC was never meant to be cleared without 2 good teams, it's been that way since launch. We don't have MoC 11-12 back in the day, so I'd rather say to the "newer players" that if they can clear MoC 10 then they're fine. Old players "have trouble keeping up with no limited banner character"? Well too bad they chose to do that to themselves, they had the chance to pull for better units, and they didn't grab it, they cannot complain when they shot themselves in the foot tbh. Not in a particular disagreement with you here, I just feel like people are making it a bigger deal than it should, because other games do this too. Look at GBF, most of the endgame bosses over there can get up to hundreds of millions of HP and they want you to solo it.

I think the best and most straightforward solution is to add MOC floors 13, 14, , and then increase the monsters' HP in those floors instead. Players who can handle it will get more sjade, while those who can't will still get the same amount as before. It's better than continuously making floor 12 harder and harder and harder.

it's just for fun and not all that relatable. His 4 star LC are mostly level 1, that was his excuse for using better ones. Some of his characters are using top lightcones. Serval is using Jing Yuan LC, Hook is using Fireflys LC at S5, the harmonies are using S5 dance dance dance, Gallagher runs S5 Quid pro Quo, Pela and Guinaifen are running Resolution LC S5 I think and Bailu's rocking her LC (not sure what level, but it's more than S1). I went back to twitch to see what he chose.

Moc 12 literally just has, automatron who imprisionates so there's literally no point on clease since your turn got delayed anyway and wolf robot who has fear that is basically just play around it. Plus Bailu's envigoration is prettty huge if you're against burst damage like automatron. Linx is just so overhyped, her healing is basically nat's plus aoe cleanse and extra pasive lol. Maybe in very niche scenarios vs kafka plus prision guards is better bc cleanse, but in general linx just sucks ass, only good for sustaining blade, clara and maybe yunli.

Lynx was indeed better, but the fact is that Bailu's healing output is just higher, plus some damage reduction. If a sustain can't sustain they're just not usable. Back before enemy power inflation Lynx was way better because the lower healing output didn't matter and she has a bunch of quality of life features Bailu doesn't have (cleanse, debuff immunity once per skill, taunt redirect and ATK+HP buff). Lynx can technically still sustain with a tanky DPS like Clara or Blade, but on a full squish team (basically all 4* teams) you just won't survive these days.
