I am fascinated by the sheer variety of style and the fact that most of them wear suits even though it is quite warm. But I can hardly imagine that when they were asked about how to stay cool, that they actually felt cool and comfortable.

IMHO Cabral is spot-on, and manages not to look like a peacock. (Although I don't think Italian men are particularly bothered by egregious flaunting.) I'm fascinated by how fashion reflects the terrain that the wearer originates from, or from which his ethnic peers derive. Cabral's style is very similar to many other sub-Saharan African men of fashion -- minimalist, casual chic, monochromatic with a tilt towards an undramatic color palette. (Speaking of men of African descent only, this would be different, say, for Caribbeans or black Americans from the American South. Each is guided by his ur-terrain, so to speak.)

Pitti is the home to tightly tailored suits. I think it's just a trend, it's certainly not what defines the gentleman.

slimmer tailoring has always been an italian thing. for example american suits are way boxier, it is how it is.

I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like you can very much see how the first guy is far from "cool" and much closer to "sweating my balls off". Well that's what you get with tight cut trousers and jacket.... After all there is a reason why linen is usually cut a bit loser.
@benjamincarron97324 жыл бұрын
Also, linen has to be looser at it doesn't stretch like cotton. If linen is too tight it will just burst at the seams

It's a cool look but ironically they all talk about individuality and manage to be dress nearly identically with only slight variation in color and pattern
@Vic82toire4 жыл бұрын
Well, there's only so much variation you can have with dress, really, unless you're prepared to be really out there. I definitely see differences in the way they dress. It's still the classic combination of suit and tie, of course, but the idiosyncrasies come up in the silhouette or cut, the texture of the fabric, choice of color, and personal accessories. And how it shows off the man, himself. That's where the individuality comes from. I think they all look magnificent.

Not feeling the dark leather shoes with no socks and bright colors. Not cool and definitely not cool for one's feet. Linen, perforated leather suede, cloth...many alternatives and substitutes exist for men. For god's sake, wear a real pair of socks if the heavy leather shoes must go on. Jeesh.
