Arch Enemy - My Apocalypse (bass cover)

Hey there! This is "My Apocalypse" by "Arch Enemy" as asked by ‪@Pancake_with_gloves‬ . I'm using my Ibanez ATK300 tuned CFA#D#. The tone comes from my Neural DSP Parallax plugin. Sorry for the imperfect focus of one of the cameras... Cheers!

Is that a Japanese ATK? I have a '96 ATK300. Superb sounding and playing basses! I also have a 2014 or 2015 ATK200TP (made in China), and you can't even begin to compare the two. They look the same and have almost feel the same, but the ATK200 is just a much worse bass in almost every way (especially the neck and the different pickup/electronics). The only thing that was better on it were the Wilkinson tuners, but I swapped them over to the ATK300 😄

It's made in Korea! Around the same years as yours. My ATK305 (from 2004 I think) is made in Indonesia. I never tried the ATK200 but I believe you when you say they are different! The CAP pickups in the Premium ATK I had for a few months sounded very different. The bridge pickup was really not to my liking.

@@MrPsirois The Korean ones should be just about as good as the Fujigen ones, or at least so I've heard :) Yeah, the CAP dual-coil pickups are completely different from the old tri-coil. I'm guessing that they were trying to make them even more Stingray-esque, but in doing so they lost the aggressive sound that made them so great and they instead became as boring and bland as all other Stingray wannabe clones. The pre-amp is also completely different and sounds more hi-fi, for a lack of a better description. Never tried an Indonesian one, or a 5-string for that matter, although I would like to have a 5-string. I've been on the hunt to find one of the older ATK300/500/600/700 or the Prestige ATK1300 that were made for the Japanese market only, but it seems like they are exceedingly rare here in Europe.

Maybe i'll do one but their songs are usually very easy to figure out on bass so many people probably covers them already.
