Based on area should concern sir.. example 10acres pond 8 pcs density can managed without aeration up to 200gms biomass per sqmt . 10 acre we went max 200 kgs feed without aeration.

Sir, very good input. Thank you. Small doubt- with the above level of aeration, we get 5mg per litre of water DO. I have observed in Thummalapenta region, the circulation speed of water is also more, because of density of aerators in the pond (mix of one hp and two hp aerators placing alternatively). Does speed of circular movement of water in the pond has any effect on growth, paving shrimp to be more active in the flow of water?

But as per my knowledge in the early days of Culture the farmer should maintain a minimum of Four (8 HP) aerators in the pond (four corners of the pond). Please correct me if I am wrong.

It is called as standard aeration efficiency. Quantity of oxygen transferred per kilowatt power per hour. Varies form aerator to area. But for paddle wheel aerator it is around 2 kg under standard conditions

Oxygen required for biomass is only 15 % of the total oxygen budget. Calculations based on the feed is more accurate than biomass. More over after 100 count feed increments will be nominal. Please check your feed records to appreciate
