I understand Elliot so much in the last part. Except I never hacked people. But I use to people watch until I understood the simple secret that we are nothing more than sum of our motivations. That all of our actions is in service to one goal or another. After a few years, I was able to use that to predict what people are gonna do and what they went though. While it is no where as invasive as Elliot's hacking, you harvest all that you can learn to feel ... close to someone ... anyone. And by the time you realize that it can't bring you closer to humanity, it is too late because it is all you know. The power to understand and see the things that few people care to grasp without a real reason to do anything with it. A cosmic waste and divine irony at it's peak.

By getting Elliot charged and arrested she broke patient confidentiality. God, this show is real obtuse at times

she never broke patient confidentiality, about this, the dog, or anything else. the reason elliot got charged (for grand larceny) is because flipper was microchipped and got scanned (shown at 2:57), and "michael hansen" reported elliot to the police after being hacked
