6:15 Is my favorite scene. He's not even opposing a full on revolution against capitalism or at least, the biggest capitalist company. And instead of completely antagonizing Elliot, he talks to him like a father figure. Sounding almost disappointed and like he is telling him to learn and do better. It's so strange and emotional. Almost as if he wished Elliot was a true leader, and inspired his agenda. Reminds me of the greenhouse scene in Hunger games, between the president and Katniss.
@acters124 Жыл бұрын
To further push others to reading up on how the rose garden scene from the hunger games Movies happened. look up 'Letters from the Rose Garden" there is an video clip with the actor who play snow, Donald Sutherland, and the movie director, Gary Ross. Donald wrote a three page letter to Gary because he felt that the movie could introduce snow's perspective instead of just katniss's perspective that the books only portray. Very interesting stuff

3:01 "Good Evening Mr Alderson" cant believe I just realized something pretty cool... so obviously Price sees Elliot and calls him by his surname. In this scene Mr Robot is active, who of course is Elliot's dad, who "Mr Alderson" also aptly applies to. Its valid lol. It got me thinking: we know Mr Robot exists to protect Elliot, which is the accepted significance, but theres also a sense of Elliot's Dad FIGHTING back, something Elliot's real Dad never did. In a way Mr Robot also exists as a surrogate for Elliot's real father, an alternative version of him, who is actually fighting back against those who are doing them wrong. Its Elliots way of avenging his father, by pretending to be him, the him he wishes existed, the him he wishes he had seen...quite sad. Seems so simple but for some reason it just clicked for me
@philt68002 жыл бұрын
Some of the best dialogue ever written. Philip Price is brilliant in how he gives Mr Robot a lesson in leadership. Be a leader, not a lone Wolf…. Mr Robot: I’m a leader….. Price: so where are your followers? He cut right through all the haze of bullshit he built around him

Lord Tutinean Sure, being pedantic lol, but usually in tv discontinued could be perceived as the show still having plans for more content but stopped for various reasons e.g low views, issues with actors, funding etc. Ended is seen as the creators finishing the series off intentionally, hence real Elliot waking up, it ended.
