Its really crazy how they have developed over 25 years, their sound has evolved so much from their first album to their latest one, and still you can somehow always tell its Nightwish. Like there is something in the DNA of their music you can always find and that stayed the same during all these years.

​@liamblyck8962 word is if you have a proper surround sound system and can listen with Dolby atmos then the mix is great 😅. Not many people have a setup like that though. The problem is with even expensive stereo speakers there's too much compression.

Kai's drumming is phenomenal. Even more phenomenal it get's, when I heard his interview from radio. He was interviewed by Jussi69 from 69Eyes who is also amazing drummer. Jussi asked him "is it true that you did drums by only one take to all tracks of Yesterwynde album?" and Kai answered "yeah, sure. I don't want to waste recording time and prefer to drink whiskey instead". Jussi replayed "well, of course you did so, 'cause you are Kai Hahto". Every each one of them are extremely talented artists and masters of their instruments. Plus Tuomas the genius builds huge stories with amazing multilevel music around them. That's Nightwish, that's more than music. No other band has ever made me mentally and fysically feel this way.

Quite a few of us were REALLY NERVOUS about just how WEIRD the mix was on their first official single for this album, Perfume of the Timeless. THIS IS HOW NIGHTWISH IS SUPPOSED TO SOUND!!! I'm getting vibes of classic Nightwish a la Pharoh Sails to Orion & Ghost Love Score, even some Annete era Scaretale notes there, and all the way into NEW Nightwish reminiscent of Endless Forms Most Beautiful! Floor is just KILLING it here as always, tricky passages and difficult lyrical sections delivered with perfection and panache! If this is their 'swan song' as a touring band for the foreseeable future, WHAT A WAY TO GO OUT WITH A BANG!!!!
