LILAC album is saying goodbye to her 20s snd hello to her 30s. This album is her last album of her 20s the list on the board are her album and released songs of her 20s. The scene in the train is her journey of her 20s in the industry she debuted in the young age the frst scene is her being new trying to cope up what in her sorroundings, 2nd scene, in the party, thats her embracing her world as an idol and the 3rd scene the fighter IU thats symbolizes her struggle in the industry which she fought sa soloist. The last scene which she was in platform again and other train arrived you can see in her expression her hesitation but at the end she smile which means shes ready now to embrace the next chapter of her life.. This is just my own theory being a fan of her! Haha

Some things you missed : - The saxophonist was in Good Day (the song that first got her super famous). - The scene where she's fighting those men in black is supposed to represent the hardships she had to go through. She said that despite being a Solo artist she had to go through troubles that quite resemble those that whole groups have to struggle together to make it through them. She wanted to show that despite fighting them "alone" she was a badass and still made it alive. The Eight reference there suits is really well. - At the end of the fighting scene the saxophonist appears and she get a bite of something that seems to be anti-climatic. I think you can make up your mind about what that means. - The ticket at the beginning says Departure : HILAC Destination : BYLAC (those are both versions for this album where one is saying Hi to her 30's and one is saying Bye to her 20's selves) - I think the party scenes and the scenes with other people on the train play with the same theme. Everyone on that train is leaving to their future selves that's why they all dance the same choreography in the first verse. - All the lyrics can be read as a break-up song but just like the animation part, it's actually meant as a time capsule burial ceremony. She's peacefully and happily closing her 20's with all the hardships, pain and beauty it encapsulated. - On the last scene we can see the saxophonist again, bidding her farwell with a big smile. She says goodbye but before she has the time to get sad, we hear and see a new train. She looks at us with a determined and somewhat excited look on her face.

From what I noticed, The train she was just celebrating in, is her 20s and it dropped her off so her next train which is her 30's would pick her up . So she was kinda shocked that the party was over (her 20's) quickly. But she smiled as her next train is coming anyway . It's really cute.

so first of all the station she was in its like her journey..there was a panel shows her songs since the beginning and every one date release and last one was lilac the date was 25 march (yesterday)the station was where she began her journey..then she was in her 20s train when she started to get fit with the people while work hard like them then the party scene when she get famous..then the fight scene when she was fight her struggles..to the animation scene when she kept all her beautiful memories in that box..and at the end she got off from her 20s train and she is ready to her 30s train ..the light on her face and smile ..she is excited to what is next from her journey and her life.. ☆spring is short but it will comes again💜💜🌸🌸

The ending sence is about her saying goodbye to her twenties since she turn thirties. I have my theory for the ending sence is that the confetti resembles spring and you see her waving goodbye to the train of spring which resemble her twenties. she was sad but then we see the confetti again and a new train which resemble her thirties and she was happy to experience that spring again.

I think... it's a song about breakup so .. when all the lights went out, the real feeling of “breakup situation” sudden became dark side. But the next light is shining brightly, and I think .. THE SONG is trying to comfort everyone by saying that “it's okay” because the next love will come again. I like this song! 🌸

Check out 'My Sea' or 'The Sea Of A Kid And I' It's a side track in the lilac album but it's my favorite song from the album. Fun Fact: It's also IU's favorite song so it's the 8th track in her album cause 8 is her favorite number, the song is exactly 5 minutes and 16 seconds because she was born in May 16th, She wrote the whole song and the like climax/high note used to be half a note lower but they raised it by half a note.
