Thing is, there’s so many Rushmore’s you can do for WWE: Best of their era, Best technical wrestlers, Most Physical Specimens, Best on the Mic, Most Comedic, Best Women, etc. So let me put down my guys for each of these: Best of their era: Bruno, Hogan, Austin, Cena. Roman is the guy in the wings, but he’s got a decent comp in Seth. Best Technical: Kurt, Bret, Savage & HBK. I don’t need to say anything else. HM to Lord Voldy even if it hurts me to say it. Most Physical: Brock, Taker, Goldberg & then it gets tough. Do you go for a guy like Lashley, or someone like Big Show or even Mark Henry? Do you instead take someone who was open to taking a physical beating every outing like a Mick Foley? Best on the Mic: Rock, Punk, Miz & Heyman. Open to discussion but these are my four. Best Comedic: The Hurricane, Santino, The New Day & then it’s tough to think of a fourth. Give me suggestions fellas. Best women: Trish, Chyna, Becky & as much I hate it… Charlotte. Open to moving Chyna off this but man, it’s tough…

Not my personal favorites, but I think, putting my personal biases aside, a WWE Mount Rushmore would be: Vince - Probably the most notorious on-screen heel of all time, and obviously his non-character contribution to the company doesn't have to be discussed Cena - The face of the company for about 15 years Austin - The face of the company for the period of WWE many fans consider to be the best time period Taker - Three decades of work, basically all of which were at top of the card

In terms of the WWE, I actually think you're 100% correct here. Sure, everyone has their own opinions and likes/dislikes but your reasonings are on point. Whenever my buddies and I talk about Mt. The Golden Era, The New Gen Era, The Attitude Era, The Ruthless Aggression Era, The PG Era and the Reality Era. He’s put in more time and outlasted everyone from the Golden Era. This might aswell be the best take on a Mt. Rushmore I have ever seen and it all makes sense. For me, I would 100% put Stone Cold and The Undertaker up there and then I'd sit and debate myself for hours. You know what? Hogan and Cena make all the sense actually, for the reasons cited. Honorable mentions are the way to go because, well, there can only be 4 on the Mt so there will never be a consensus. I built mine on the following. The MJ of Wrestling : Hogan. The biggest draw/saviour : Austin Greatest in ring performer : HBK Greatest Career/Character : Taker. I just feel if you had to start a promotion and could pick 4 guys this would be pretty much the perfect combo. Hogan and Austin for their Charisma and ability to draw/engage the crowds. Taker to add a level of surrealism and make wrestlers appear more than just men and for being the best big guy in the ring.. HBK to make sure all the other guys get consistent 4/5 star matches and the perfect heel if need be. Hogan and Austin pack the seats and HBK/Taker steal the show.

Trying to limit down a list of the GOATS of WWE down to four people is an insanely difficult task. I definitely would've had Undertaker on mine for pretty much all the reasons you said. I think Bret Hart has a strong case for being on the mountain as well based on how he got over with fans and did so well in WWE during his time there. I even think there's an argument to say that if it wasn't for Bret that HBK wouldn't have done as well as he did as it was really Bret who was the smaller guy to really break through the glass ceiling and deliver first. I also don't think we get the likes of Punk and Bryan doing so well if Bret hadn't done it first. I understand that a lot of people think Bret is overrated, but I don't think you can deny how much Bret means to the history of WWE seeing him really be the first smaller guy to do so well under Vince when he was all about the giants. I think Jericho is potentially a good shout, but his case is so much stronger if you include his work outside of WWE as well. So unfortunately as much as I love Jericho I don't think he would get above an honourable mention for me.

Mines is almost the same. I say swap Austin for Bruno just due to the fact that he’s the longest reigning WWF/WWE Champion of all time, he has to be in that conversation. Rock & Austin both had an hell of an impact but they don’t have the same longevity as those 4. With that being said my Mount Rushmore is Bruno Sammartino, Hulk Hogan, Undertaker, John Cena.
