I have been looking forward to this for years and i was worried id be disappointed cos lifes like that. But i liked how challenging the game is, and glad you can animation cancel from attack into dodge/block. I guess one of the other skill trees is gun? But who knows what the other locked tree is

I don't think it was glitched. Pretty sure they were trying to show you how to get and test skills by forcing you to get the Blink skill specifcally, it comes in handy in the boss fight right after😅. Great video btw!

I cannot wait for the full game. It def is going to be a strong GOTY contender. The combat is so satisfying, especially when you master parrying and dodging, and though it does have soulslike elements, it also has that super flashy combo heavy potential more like a DMC. The soundtrack is absolutely incredible, too. Half the soundtrack is probably going on my gaming playlist. Lol. The story is interesting, and those enemy designs and boss battles are badass, and to top it off, it's exceptionally polished for a new small studio. So hyped! Hope they have a boss challenge mode that lets you fight all bosses back to back.

I too believe Tachy will return at some point in the story whether it be in a corrupted or augmented form. If the story structure of Stellar Blade follows suit to how the other games the Shift Up devs have worked on do, then yeah, we are getting a return of Tachy later in the story. For those that care, Graphics mode is locked to 30 fps. Performance mode is locked at 60 fps (but real drop in graphics/resolution). Then there is Balanced mode, which is AMAZING. It runs at a smooth 57-60 fps (people have video tests to show, it never really drops below that, normally staying at exactly 60 fps about 80% of the time), while also having essentially the level of graphics/resolution that the Graphics mode offers. To add to the fact that in the PS5 settings (system settings, not game settings, the graphics option that says to have it on even on unsupported games), you can force VRR and this is compatible with Balanced Mode. It makes it even more amazing and should be turned on (of course your TV needs to support it and if not, ah well, Balanced is still the best). Balanced mode is just so very optimized that it's amazing. You don't need to sacrifice graphics/resolution or performance/fps when using it. A note on languages, as that matters to some players, like me. - EN VA's felt kind of flat. They may get better later on, but they were not amazing or even great. They are passable.... - KR VA's are really good. However, personally, I cannot understand KR and in the middle of action sequences, don't feel like reading subtitles (not that I cannot, I do way to much Anime to not be good at reading subtitles while watching things, but sometimes just don't want to read subtitles). Sadly, JP VA's are not included in the EN releases of Stellar Blade. Only the JP version can (possible licensing issues). - JP VA's are amazing. Not knowing the KR language as well, I do not know how well it was done (though they sounded right, good emotions and the like), but I do actually understand spoken Japanese. So for me, I can do both subtitles and do without (for 80% of what is spoken). The JP VA's do an amazing job as one has come to expect from the behemoth of a country that does VA work for both Anime and Games and how they treat their VA's as well as America treats their Hollywood actors (and holds them to such higher standards.... not that all EN VA's are bad, there are some amazing ones, but it sadly isn't as big or prevalent and often treated as second class citizens compared to the Hollywood stars in the US). - THANKFULLY, the JP version of Stellar Blade has ALL languages for both voice and text PLUS of course, Japanese. - Meaning you can get a JP copy of the game and you will have access to the JP VA's while also playing the game entirely with English Text and Subtitles. - The JP version itself is also seemingly cheaper to get, at only $56 for a phys copy on PlayAsia (plus shipping, ordered mine there for $64 after tax and shipping). Well, that extra is just for anyone else that was hoping for JP VA's like me. You can even make a JP PSN account on your PS5 (just swap users, make a new account and say your country of origin is JP) and you can download the JP version of the Demo if you want to try out the JP VA's to make your decision. It is the exact same demo. Same options. Only the JP VA's are added as an option. EN VA's and Text is available and is default to English because of the default set on your console. So nothing difficult to swap settings that you want going through a menu you cannot read (the JP PSN store though will have JP text you might want to know how to navigate... not hard, but is something for those that cannot read it). YOU DO NOT need a JP PSN account to play import physical copies of games though. You can play those on any region's account. So yay on that. No region locking (okay, there is some region locking, but only on DVD and Blu-Ray movies IF those discs have region protection activated on them, which most do not) for games.

Also, your game was not glitched at the end (didn't show in the video if you figured that out). It was specifically forcing you to pick the "Blink" skill for 1 of your Skill Points (SP). And was then going to show a little tutorial on how to use this new dodge skill. Since you had 2 SP, you could have still gotten at least one 1 SP skill after that. But that is why you couldn't back out.

Hey lilly!!! It's me Vital how you been? Also yes I indeed played the demo and honestly I also had the game set to either balance or performance mode. Keep in mind this game does have souls game elements and usually in souls games you wanna play on the best optimized setting as possible so imo either balance or performance are the way to go. In every souls game I feel better and good performance take priority over "ooo pwetty graphics" but that's just me lol. Also I am so f***ing ready for this game as someone who enjoy both the Nier and Souls games I'm all in for a weird but very welcoming mash up of the 2 good to see you're enjoying it as well Lilly miss you btw I haven't been in your streams since like forever it feels lol Also I recommend trying the boss challenge at some point cuz you fight a completely different boss btw and they give you more abilities to try out it's not that same boss again lmao

I finished playing the demo but am probably not going to be buying the full game because it's too frustrating for me (Controller-breaking Worthy game) dealing with the defensive part of the combat mechanics being too reliant on the stupid Perfect Parry and Perfect Dodge system. It's so difficult for me to Perfect Parry especially during multiple attacks in a row. The music is enjoyable though especially the cool rock music from the Boss Challenge. I hate whenever games don't give players the option to manual save. Certain parts of the game remind me of Nier Automata. The overall combat is pretty cool even though her normal Dodge sucks. I like cheesing the final boss of the demo by using the car as my shield to my advantage since the boss can't destroy it but i wouldn't be surprised if they remove that exploit from the full game which is one of the things i hate whenever single player games are connected to the internet for patches. I give the demo a 7 out of 10.

Kinda sounds like a skill issue but I get what you're saying. I felt the same way playing Dark Souls games. Skill based games are an acquired taste, and although I suck at Dark Souls, I was able to get the hang of this demo which has me wanting more from the game already. Definitely a pre-order for me. I feel like the early release of this demo was meant for players to get acquainted with the combat of the game and get their frustrations out before the full release. So don't give up just yet!

If i were to change my mind to get the full game' then i want to unlock the skill that allows me to perfect parry/perfect dodge easier early on in the game. The game seems to require players to have patience which i lack. Thank goodness that the game doesn't have Stamina Bars/Stamina Meters.
