Brooke. There is a lobster fisherman named Jacob who is an KZbinr also he complains about the same thing about the balloons because when they're released some of the balloons end up in the ocean everyday he says the same thing. Don’t release them. The ocean is one of the places they end up in the wildlife get tangled up into them.

Those geese are smart to go up and gather to let you know there was something in the pond that shouldn't have been. So glad you got them returning into the pond. Balloons never should be released out side. That was fun watching the geese. God bless you.

🇦🇺I love cabbage rolls in Tom soup. Mince, onions, rice, spices rolled together and placed into cabbage leaves. Then place in a crockpot on low with Tomato soup. Yum.

Good Morning Jason and Brooke. I’m so glad Brooke found those balloons before they caused injury to the geese and ducks. Your dehydrated cabbage made my mouth water, especially when you both were giving out the different ideas you could use it for. Cabbage is one of my favourite veggies. I make a sort of creamed cabbage with onions, steamed in a little chicken broth and then thickened with a tapioca powder/chicken broth slurry. I like it with bacon or kielbasa or over rice and beans. I’m hoping someday to get a freeze dryer.

Balloons that are just let free can cause so much harm! There was an accident a few years ago, on New Years Eve here in Germany, with some of these chinese lanterns - basically a balloon where you put some burning paste stuff on a plate (I guess) and let them fly. One of them landed in the nearby Zoo, on the roof of the Monkey & Ape house, which caught on fire and completely burned down. I think about 50 of the Monkeys and Apes... well... it was the very worst day of their life 😭. I think only 3 or 4 animals survived. Those lanterns were illegal here even before that but hey, people can buy everything they want online. Hardly ever any consequenses at all.

A few years ago the apes of the Krefeld (Germany) zoo died in the flames of their building incinerated by those Chinese lampoons people let fly with candles inside. It was a real tragedy. It's terrible that people don't think beyond their own horizon.....
