The molasses is a byproduct from making sugar. It's a thick sticky sweet fluid, here it's used to glue the pellets together, we use it in our TMR for feeding our cattles. The pellets can be used for heating, they burn with very low pollution. The pellets are also thermally processed up to 100-150°C (not sure for the premos), so they are very clean and can be also used for animal bedding, or food. They are cleaner than the regular straw bales we use for feeding. It's an expensive investment, that is not really profitable for a small farm such as ours.

I use straw swaths for both my horses, and I use a forage wagon to pick up the rest off the field and sell it at the barn on Ravenport. It adds a significant profit actually, I normally make 18k with wheat/barley on my expanded field 18 and the straw adds like 8-10k

Those are great. A lot of the pellets are made out of industrial waste or agricultural leftovers, here in Michigan people use them with cherry pits.

@@AlRoderick That's because we got so many damn cherries here, LOL. When I was a kid in the 70's my mom and us kids would collect walnuts from all over S.W. Michigan. When they were dried and we cracked them open we would put the shells in paper bags and set them on the porch. We had a wood stove and my dad would toss several scoops of those shells into the fire. They didn't burn as long as the wood but they sure gave off a lot of heat. My wife and I bought the place from my folks and still used that same wood stove to this day. hard to beat a good FISHER wood stove. Almost 50 yrs old and still looks new. lol

You can back up the pellet baler right next to the pellet bin and it will unload! Also you can even have the bale shredder on it as well!

Just some FYI with this thing on Console, don’t attach the shredder if you plan on using it in the field. It glitches the rollers.

You know what you should try, setup the machine inside the shop with conveyors so the machine drops pellets on conveyor then over to the Pallet maker input so all you need to do it keep loading bales to make Pellets and use the empty shop for bale storage

@@Luislv-du4df with seasons on if you cut dry grass it'll pick it up for me fine , when it turns to hay state (the one that looks like straw) it'll pick a little up then not pick anymore or not at all, without seasons mine works fine , I think it's codeing with it as both the balers in the pack work fine for me , so if you wanna play with seasons just use the premos on dry grass, or run square bales through it

I had a slight issue - with the Premos and using it as in the on-field configuration it did not like to pick up swath that wasn't part of a larger swath. Usually it was the small bits that get spat out after you turn a harvester and drive off or when you have to clean up a headland and it only yields a small intermittent swath it would not pick it up for me. Just a small annoyance. Keep up the great work!

I play on seasons and for me when I pick up hay on the field it only picks up to 5% and then refuses to pick up anything. Idk if it's the same issue as yours

@@Luislv-du4df I don't play seasons atm, but I was using straw swaths and haven't tried hay yet. As MrSealyP says in his next video on answering questions, it is addressed by the creators that shallow swaths not being picked up is a known problem that will be remedied in later releases. another comment on here says that Dry grass and Hay cannot be easily distinguished by the Premos, and this may also be a known problem.

If you use the straw pellets as feed mixer or bedding, I wonder if you need to use more of it in game than by just using bales as the bale shredded down to just 900 litres or so of pellets? In other words, if you have animals that need 4000 litres of straw bedding, one bale will do - if you need to supply 4000 litres of straw, regardless of how it's supplied, you'd be putting in over 4 times as much in pellets...

Yes it shuts off if you try too feed to much in at one time and your tractor doesnt have enough power! You need more horsepower! You need about 375 minimum to go proper speed and to keep it going!

Well......it works even with The hay bales...you just have to push The bale to reach The blades...help him a little...strange thing is that once The blades start to chop The bale changes it s colour and turns yellow...looking like a straw bale not a hay bale

It's funny it was letting me adjust that pipe up and down last night unloading the premos 5000 and tonight it's not letting me... pipe in and out works fine but can't adjust it!! anymore... Let me know if you work out what the deal is, because it will come handy for bigger trailers.

So I'm confused on the raising and lowering of the pipe. I leased one and did a field, and I was having a problem finding a trailer that has the clearance to unload. I then noticed the ability to raise and lower the pipe. Which solved the problem and I was able to finish unloading into a semi trailer. Come back to my second field, and the ability to raise and lower is gone. It still has the clearance to unload into a semi trailer, but it is strange.

Update: I believe it's a loading issue. When I started the game back up last night, I was still in the middle of the field, and I had the pipe control available.

Another complaint I have is the fact the pellet maker only requires 200L of molasses but molasses pallets don't come in 200L so I'm going to end up with half pallets of molasses everywhere I also find it hilarious that if you touch the bale with the forks while it is on the feed ramp for the shredder it will fling the bale. Sometimes just a few feet, sometimes it will throw them half way across the map. A bit annoying if you need to reposition the bale

It does not require you to buy a full pallet of molasses, you can buy a pallet however full you need it to be. 😁

Mrsealyp I like watching your videos, but one thing that bugs me the most is the console version is rather limited in mods, how many machines you can have on your map's, 200 max bale's (which you said in a previous video) etc etc. I have both versions of fs19 on PC and console and tbh I prefer the PC as it has more mods etc. I feel as those that have console are not getting the full potential of this game. It is pretty much the same in other games that cross PC PS4 & XBOX.

You have to try world train Sim. You get a great history lesson about the Tranns Pennine railroad of Great Britain. I recommend it on PC. What really got me into British history is my aunt which is from Liverpool originally and now lives here in the states. Now, if James May narrated it, it would be that much better and loads better if you did. It's spectacular MrSealyP, I promise you. Very technically challenging and extremely therapeutic. You will love it and so will those viewers that love railroading and rail road history of various countries. Puts me in a great mood. You should sell a bale and then sell a bale worth h of pellets and see if it sells for more. Cause if it doesn’t sell for more it won’t pay for itself

Anyone else having issues with the bale shredder??? It will shred the first hay bale with no issue at all but when i put the next hay bale on it won't do anything and if I jump in the tractor thays connected to the pellet machine it says "bale fill type not supported". I don't understand, they are the exact same type of bale.. Who should I bring this issue to?

After some experimenting I have discovered it works without issue when using straw. Only have the problem when using hay bales. They are base game bales so I don't understand why they won't work correctly. Perhaps it's a conflict with the seasons mod because seasons changes the texture for hay. I'll try without seasons after work and see if that is indeed my problem.

This is a known problem in which seasons conflicts with hay bales. It works with seasons off. This should be fixed in an update coming soon.

I have had the bag “n” lifter pack installed and also the CSZ pack...can’t find anything in the CSZ to lift pallets with straps that works and strangely I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the Bag N Lifter pack but they aren’t appearing in the shop? Anyone else got this???

it should do, it doesn't always show the actual water going in. Check the fluid level on the screen.

Hey man, just a question. Everytime I start my tractor before the premos with the shredder and I step off to my telehandler, the shredder and premos stop working. How do you keep the shredder and premos on and keep it on if you go to another piece of equipment?

In settings in game, do you have under engine start on "auto". If so everytime you get out of a tractor the game will turn it off. If you select "manual", when you jump out it will keep running. On ps4 I think on ps4 it's L1 and square it turn on and off a tractor, when on manual. Hope that helps.

Put the side with the yellow roller next to the primo 5000. I found that was the only way it would recognize it.
