FYI, the "garden hose" will work with any trailer that will hold chemicals, or any sprayer because it's simply a free buy point for herbicide and fertilizer (and water but that's not really relevant). You don't even actually have to buy the bottles of "concentrate" at all. In fact they arent actually concentrate at all, just small quantities of herbicide/fertilizer. Paying $40 (the cost of the small bottles in the pack) for 4000 L of liquid fertilizer, if anyone's wondering, is a roughly 99.3% discount compared to base game IBCs. Those 2000L IBCs of fertilizer normally cost $3200, and you're getting them for $20 each. It's essentially a cheat mod when you use it this way.
@FeldynnАй бұрын
Mechanics of the mod aside I think the point here is that it's attempting to simulate the use of concentrates versus premixed IBCs, and that's exactly what it does in the way it's being used here. Now if you want to go into the realm of game vs realism then sure I'd agree the "mix ratio" nor the price are as accurate as they could be but that's kind of where the game aspect of the simulation comes in isn't it, there has to be a healthy amount generalisation and generic application to things like cost, size, time, distance, etc otherwise it simply wouldn't work. As far as cheating goes, that's subjective and relative at best in a game like Farm Sim and a whole other discussion in and of itself 🙂.
@QualjynАй бұрын
@@FeldynnIt's actually bad from a gameplay perspective too, because it makes all other fertilizer options vastly inferior, reducing the number of viable options you have for fertilizing your fields. It'd be like a map introducing a new type of wheat with 100 times more yield or a new sawmill that makes 100 times more planks from the same amount of logs. From a gameplay perspective, growing that new wheat or using that new sawmill is just better than anything else you could be doing by a huge margin.

He's obsessed with having to find the cheapest options, which usually means that he will try a new mod, realize that it is slightly more expensive than the same mod that he uses on every Let's Play, then abandon the new mod and switch back to the same mods that he always uses. The Farm Supply Pack is one of the worst things that he insists on using in every series and some of its products are ridiculously priced since the modder just made every product $1000 for 5000l.

@@Qualjyn And that's where things become subjective and relative, if that's the arbitrary standard that everyone is required to apply to their own personal gameplay then half the mods on the ModHub are bad from a gameplay perspective because they're, faster, bigger, cheaper to buy, more profitable to sell, etc than the base game. The beauty of Farm Sim is there is no such rule like that, we all enjoy the game in a myriad of differing ways. Good or bad gameplay is relative to the individual, for example I personally don't care for the unrealistic mods (huge capacity, giant headers, "fast farming", etc) that much so for the most part I don't use them. However even that's a relative statement, I actually enjoyed using some semi-unrealistic mods on the Mars map because I was very selective in my choices and I felt the ones I chose fit the gameplay I was looking for.

@@FeldynnOf course, everyone can do as they like, content creators included, and everyone is entitled to their own standards for what goes in their game. I mainly commented because this mod (or rather, this way of using the mod, as it is technically POSSIBLE to use this mod in a more moderated way if one has the willpower) feels pretty extreme to me. Also, the logic he's using ("this is how the mod is designed to work") would apply equally to government subsidy signs. They're designed to give you free money. Brilliant, let's plonk some down. It isn't wrong or immoral in any way to to use government subsidy signs in the game, but if we call a spade a spade, government subsidy is a money cheat mod. That has its uses of course, if you want to just have a play around and treat the game like a sandbox, or if you're setting up your farm a specific way for a storyline, or you're testing mods, or you lost money due to a glitch and would like to reimburse yourself or whatever the case may be. Even if you do want to just cheat, that's fine too, it's not hurting anyone in a single player game at least. But if you saw a content creator playing out a somewhat plausible storyline and doing their various farming jobs, playing the game fairly normally, and then suddenly putting down some government subsidy signs and getting a boatload of cash for nothing, you'd probably go "hang on a minute." To me this isn't all that different. Anyway, I've probably rambled enough, I appreciate the civil discussion.

The buy prices fluctuate much like the sell prices do. They should be listed in the menu, dunno why he didn't just check there and see which was cheaper.

@@Qualjynwhile sensible practice, the letsplay series tend to have an RP element, which can override the desire to extract maximal value from any interaction. I haven't been watching this one, but survive to farm was full of it. 'Mrs Potts down the road said she had a pile of manure she'd sell, and she did me a deal on X' kinda stuff. Or maybe he forgot, he's not very well in this one!
@QualjynАй бұрын
@@razzlebazzle420He almost certainly forgot, which is fine, not a big deal. Has nothing to do with roleplay really in this case, he was after all looking for the cheapest (i.e most optimal) price.

Absurd pickup on that baler. Looks about the same width as the windrower, maybe even wider.

Not as absurd as the fertilizer mod, though. Crikey. Might as well put down some government subsidy signs at this point.

Get well soon Mr SP ... curious does this work in a trailer or does it have to be in a sprayer, do we know? Thanks keep the awesome content coming.
@QualjynАй бұрын
It will work with anything that holds herbicide or liquid fertilizer. The "garden hose" is a free buy point that simply dispenses free herbicide and liquid fertilizer. It's for all intents and purposes a cheat mod.

Giants allowing cheaty mods on FS22 has been the downfall of your content. Cheaty mods make boring content. Your content from FS19 was better because Giants left guardrails on console mods for you.
