Sorry to say this but the recorded version of trastevere, and this new acoustic version, just doesn’t have the same power as when they played it that first time at Circo Massimo. They’ve softened it and made it a bit more complex and for me it sounds a bit overdone. I miss the simplicity of that first version and I especially miss the anger and bitterness in D’s voice. The vocal now shows more disappointment I think, more melancholy. Ironically this sounds more like a demo than the original version in Rome. It’s still a beautiful song but it’s just missing that certain something which made it so special. Then again maybe it was always going to disappoint as I don’t think anything can compare with hearing it that first time.

i know this first version, and i've just heared again. I think both are good, but as trastevere is one of my favorite musics, i prefere the studio version. The purpouse of the music is melancholy, this softness and at the same time aggressiveness. I think the second one, the new, has more power and play more with my feelings and sensations, at least for me, but i respect your opinion, cause both are very good
