This is an unbiased reflection as ive been watching cloud tifa and cloud aerith moments in the remake and heres what i can say..... Cloud definitley has inkling feelings towards Aerith, a scene where he grieved when Aerith was saying goodbye, a scene where he glared the flowers and said "learn to talk to her" after witnessing Aerith being sad. And the scene where his eyes sparkled upon the sight of Aerith in a red long gown. This shows he has a 'crush' on Aerith. BUT.... SE cleared the blurry fact that fandoms had been fighting over for years, through the scene of Aerith telling Cloud that SHE LOVES ZACK, and literally said that even if he THOUGHT that he fell inlove with her, ITS NOT REAL. (Thats pretty much EXACTLY what she said-Japanese and English ver.) His relationship with Aerith is like a dreamy, cloudy, heavenly perfect puppy love that suddenly appeard to brighten his day, whereas his relationship with Tifa is more like realistic. Where Aerith was there for Cloud in happiness, Tifa was always there for him in his hardships, difficulties, sadness and grief. I remember the scene where Cloud rebuked Aerith saying "stop acting like you know me" (it was the first time he got real annoyed at Aerith), whereas Tifa had countlessly tells Cloud that he is like this and he is like that and Cloud would just say "Id give you that" meaning, he recognizes Tifa as the only person to have fully understood him. Also in battles, Cloud would constantly say "Tifa" "Tifa Im coming" "Are you alright" and never says something like these when he fights with Aerith. In a scene where Aerith was about to fall, Tifa grabbed her and managed to get her to safety, and little details did SE put in that scene which I appreciate so much was that while Tifa holding Aerith to safety, Cloud gently grabbed Tifa's shoulder for balance (i dont know if it was for balance, it seemed like it was out of concern that Tifa would also fall). And lastly, SE cleared Aerith's role in this remake, Aerith here, supports CloudxTifa. She was delighted when she knew that the flower she gave Cloud was given to Tifa, she pushed Cloud to go after Tifa, she pushed Tifa to get her real feelings out of her by making her jealous, and she encouraged Tifa to follow her heart---in which Tifa followed Cloud's further journey that led to the boss battle agaisnt Rude. SE wanted to clear that Cloud and Tifa is a real thing, they are for long-term partners in life and is willing to help each other out in predicaments. Cloud may have Aerith in his eyes, but Tifa sure is in the deep, roots of his heart, this is evident when he remembered Tifa when he was with Aerith, more evidence to support this claim is Cloud's vision of Tifa of more than twice--- Aerith is such a sweet girl, but the remake told us enough that Aerith, is just someone that Cloud likes, and is not someone that would be able to stay by his side, for better or for worse.

Exactly. Aerith is more like that good, trusted friend Cloud can count on and talk to, but Tifa is more than just his childhood friend, she's the woman of his life. And Tifa, deep down, knows that her feelings for Cloud were feelings of true love, but she's insecure about that (in typical Japanese anime fashion). Cloud, on the other hand, can't discern between the two due to his broken psyche, since (SPOILER ALERT) he adopted a made-up persona based on Zack.

Essentially, Tifa represents familiarity while Aerith represents new possibilities. For Cloud, a relationship with Aerith is a dream too distant to be anything real. While Tifa is the anchor to his reality. It was always going to be Tifa in that regard.

Also, there's something I forgot to mention for some unknown reason: since Cloud is mimicking Zack's personality, I think his mind also incorporated Zack's love for Aerith somehow. But since his own persona is still there, hidden behind this made-up shell, he still retains his true feelings for Tifa, but cannot fully access them.

Chatshirre Yeah I agree, I know they kinda did in Advent children or atleast at the end of it, but it would be better to get one with them being married or havin a couple kids. There’s rumours going around that they might make it so Aerith lives and Tifa dies. Or we might have to choose which one dies. But if so I really hope it’s still Aerith. I love Aerith too, but her death was so meaningful in the original, also she’s the reason that they all saved the planet. An she got to be with Zack in the afterlife in the lifestream. Tifa is Clouds woman and Aerith is Zacks. If they killed off Tifa I feel that it would ruin everything they’ve been therw there whole lives.

Just forget about the shipping thing for a moment. Just look at the videos as it is and try to think about it unbiased. Damn, can you guys see how much they have been through together? They experienced EVERYTHING together. They shared a sweet moment and made a cute promise as young children. They shared the same past, same goal for the planet, they fight, they grieve, they were beaten up, they saved each other from life threatening situation, they got each other's back, they believe in each other, they comfort each other when one of them was in a tight spot, they had sweet moments. How strong is their love and how romantic they are seem not to matter anymore because their lives really depend on the other's, they really are destined to be together as life goes on.

After reading your description, I feel what you're saying about Tifa and her relationship with cloud. I'm a huge fan of cloud and Tifa. When I played the original way back then, I gravitated toward her. She just fit my ideals of the perfect woman. She's such an important character too with a huge impact of the success of the story. Nice job on the video here. I enjoyed it. My favorite game of all time is the FF7 Original with the remake coming in at a close second place. Just my opinion but we shall see what the rest of the remake has in store later. Maybe it'll take 1st place but that's quite the task to me.

"In the Lifestream" Zack: Aerith, I've always felt that Cloud and Tifa had a thing. Remember I went to Nibleheim? Cloud was with me and I felt it weird that he's not showing his face. Aerith: Now that you say that, I did felt it between them. So I kinda jokingly went for it. I definitely feel Tifa getting jealous when I go for it. Zack: What an instigator you are. HAHAHAHA. I've finished playing and Aerith even knows who Cloud loves and she cheers for it, she gives Cloud a flower, she smiles when she knows Cloud gives it to Tifa and Tifa takes care of it, Tifa tells Aerith she to help Cloud, Aerith says follow your heart. In this remake, I find Tifa's love for Cloud very true, from eyes, smiles, to actions, she is gentle with Cloud and strong with enemies. Did you find Tifa shyly when Cloud gave her flowers and praised her for being beautiful? Very romantic

I think you played the game but don't really put into detail. First, Aerith's flower symbolize reunion and this Aerith knows what happen in the future, it's for THEIR relationship, not tifa's one. Second, Aerith is the person who found out the real cloud and help him getting out from being anti social, if you look the previous chapter, he's alone and isolated, even tifa rarely looks at his feeling,he's just a mercenary and care about money, not until he met Aerith,she makes him happier, less isolated and open his heart to everything( he talks to the flower, something he said it ain't say anything 2 days earlier).Third,the garden scene , he and tifa hug together and that's it, more like the friend talking together. But Aerith is different, she touches his heart, she knows he loves her, but the destiny is chosen, she has to be death, and she said " you can't fall in love with me" to ask cloud to stop or getting guilt to her death in future, she definitely broke her heart to say this, but cloud don't want her go, he even tried to catch her hand when she's ready to go.Finally, even in ff7: ac he cannot escape the past the guilt feeling even he has his memories, he hasn't has really well relationship with tifa, even in the end, he still want to meet her in the promise land and not really go together with tifa. @@Hungbht2705 Firstly, you should know that Cloud now has no memory, very grumpy, desperate for money, evidence that tifa tells him to tell the story after leaving the village he cannot tell; but as he slowly remembered (only remember tifa) he was gentle with tifa staying in midgar for her. secondly, Aerith talks about flowers (according to you, every man likes flowers, likes to talk to flowers) or the way she understands Cloud is that she is very experienced in her love. Having a beautiful love with Zack in CC, she can make someone love her, the cloud is carrying Zack's feeling. You have not quoted enough Aerith saying he dont fall in love with her but the following sentence again, it is not real (but it is just a dream). Aerith can see the future, feeling everything she knows Cloud is not him but she cannot help Cloud because if Cloud is him she will not feel Zack anymore, so only love Tifa's only way to bring Cloud back is him. In this remake you don't see that Cloud and Tifa have been the most intimate scenes (hugging four times, holding hands a lot, Tifa crying twice), they saving each other a lot in battle. Manufacturers are improving their relationships

@@Hungbht2705 Here we go again. Aerith-centric come to Tifa fan and try to discredit others. Actually, Cloud started smiling since he went to a mission with 3 trio : Jessie, Wedge, and Bigg. He was even curious about Jessie father and wanted to help her. He started losing his hard edge since then. Tifa noticed that. However, Aerith-centric claims all. He surely showed affection toward Aerith but sorry Zack was the real one for Aerith. In AC movie, eventhough cloud felt guity/love/miss toward Aerith, he certainly knew that Aerith was belong to Zack. At the end, he brought Zack's buster sword to Aerith's Church and yellow flower also grew over the cliff where Zack died. It symbolized reunion for both. Even a blind man could see meaning.

Am sorry but i truly stan tifa with cloud - Dont get me wrong aerith is such a lovely character but for me she belongs with zack. Her energy and personality just truly matches with zack's. Aerith and zack.. just like with tifa and cloud (how they grew up together and got strong bond etc) with aerith and zack no one can really top their chemistry.

These two have a lot of substance and are a dynamic team. I watched a couple of Cloud x Aerith videos and some of the reasons given for that pairing were strange, like there's a weird fixation on Tifa and why she's bad for Cloud instead of praising the pairing for its own merits. I think Cloud x Aerith would appeal to younger fans who like really outward gestures of flirtation, whereas Cloud x Tifa have this sentimental, 'been through fire' sort of love about them.
