I would like to add that conflict theory believes that the cycle of conflict will keep repeating UNTIL communism is reached, because under communism there’s no oppressed nor oppressive group, in other words there’s no reason for conflict. This was something he didn’t mention and is very important to know when studying Marx’s theories.

The problem with the university system in America is greedy universities most University own all the land around the institutions and they make plenty of money off for renting and leasing those properties there is no reason why the price of a college education should be so extremely high and I believe State should put caps on what universities can charge students my second solution is alternative schools that simply wouldn't charge as much money as these major university to give up degrees I was told that most University have over 150 degrees you can get but only 30 of them actually lead to good paying careers so I recommend creating degrees specific institutions and more affordable prices that way you're not paying for funding classes that people do not need

Great review of conflict theory. I liked the balanced approach, especially the reversal of sex in the "provider/protector" role with women switching places with men. Rarely do you hear about men staying at home and relying on women to provide and protect them. Go women!
@nerios.v5 жыл бұрын
The theory is flawed because individuals are oppressed in multiple ways and can be organized into different groups, an individual can be oppressor and oppressed at the same time. Karl Marx himself knew this, there is no way to reduce something as complex as a human society to a single rule that applies everywhere.
@grabber4365 жыл бұрын
You can guide opressor/opressed group to do what you want them to do. Like opressed LGBTQ group and traditional family opressor group are guided to vote
