I literally don't know what I'd do without these videos. I finally understand the forward/reverse bias stuff! Think I'll be watching these constantly for the next few weeks! Thank you so much for helping us out!

I liked and subscribed-how could I not? This is one hell of a great, no-BS, to-the-point, and clear series of videos on semiconductors, pn-junctions, and semiconductor devices!

Nice Explained, Thank you. Did you make lectures on Transistors Sir?
@MrSmithsPhysicsonline2 жыл бұрын
Only on transistor switching circuits, not on the operation of transistors. Glad you liked the video.

Thanks will you cover all the topics for higher physics before the exam ?
@MrSmithsPhysicsonline6 жыл бұрын
Most are already covered, at least with past paper solutions videos. I'll be trying to get out some more on the topics not done such as redshift and the doppler effect. All the best with your exam!

Question: I have not started my physics revision yet! Do you think i still have time? i have a month so i think i can cover all the topics in that time. Is it enough time to alteast get an A? Im just kind of nervous aha
@MrSmithsPhysicsonline6 жыл бұрын
The exam is on Tuesday 8th of May, so you've got over a month. Good that you're aiming high - make up a revision timetable and get started so that you can get the best result for you. The SQA apps are good for helping you with this and they have lots of helpful advice too. Go for it!

How come when a positive hole is filled by an electron in the depletion layer, an overall negative charge is left? Why not neutral?
@MrSmithsPhysicsonline2 жыл бұрын
Only in that part of the depletion layer. The electrons will diffuse from the n-type to the depletion layer in the p-type. Before this, the p-type was electrically neutral - it may have one less outer electron than silicon but it'll also have the same number of protons. Since the electron moves into this region (which was previously neutral), it's now going to be negative.
