True, Urianger, Yshtola, Alphianaud and Alisae are all very well educated. I have a feeling the player character WOL is pretty knowledgeable too, but in much less a formal higher education way and more in a "I killed enough gods and gone enough crazy places to know a thing or two" way.

@@Nehfarius Not to mention some of the Jobs, lore-wise, require quite a bit of intelligence to grasp, such as Arcanist (And it's later variants SMN/SCH).

Ah, that just made me realize that Estinien quite literally might be the least educated of the scions. Almost every single member of the scions are all archons (which might as well be PhD's in our world), leaving Tataru and Estinian as the only non archons, and the WoL is a bit iffy on their level of education. Some jobs make it seem that the WoL might be a bit of a meat head who is really good at fighting and not much else, and others seem to imply that you have to be a genius to master the jobs you play as. Which just leaves Estinian with Tataru, and I have no clue about Tataru's education, but considering how good of an accountant and entrepreneur she is, I doubt she hasn't studied a lot. So Estinian might literally be the least educated of all of the scions. He's basically the equivalent of the guy who went into the army immediately after high-school, and after retirement is suddenly friends with a bunch of doctors who keep talking above his head.

@@althelor Least Educated =/= Less intelligent or Unintelligent. Estinien is still a "Ser", meaning he's pretty high status or ranking within Ishgard, not to mention his position in the Order of the Knights Dragoon, which is likely equivalent to a military officer or NCO in our world, (which is a position that requires a degree) so he probably does have some form of advanced education, and knowing Estinien's expertise on Dragons, that's probably where it's at; whereas Urianger, Y'shtola and the twins are experts in the field of aether magic and such, Thancred is also an Archon but his field was stealth/espionage. Estinien is probably more akin to the latter. Or at least that's how i'd put it.

Admittedly I view Estinien as sleeping in a tree, or more likely not at all, but it's not like he owns less property than the WoL or Thancred(who equally probably sleeps on the ground since he's away on secret missions so often)
