4 wheel disk brake upgrade. I used 3rd Gen Firebird ws-6 rear disk brakes on my 442 had to cut off the drum brake mount off and weld on the flange from the Firebird rear-end and everything bolted right together swapped the master cylinder and brake combo valve from the Firebird and bleed it real good. And what a difference it made. Fits with the 15 inch 442 wheels. I have 18 inch staggered riddler 606 wheels and spinners still to install on my 442 to get that protouring look. I'm hoping that will help improve the handling of the car. Your 442 looks great definitely get the windows tinted

Yeah I’m getting ceramic brakes in the mean time. And going to drilled and slotted rotors

You have a complete car that runs and drives and that's better than a lot of us. As smart folks have told me, devise a plan and a budget. What you should do next just depends on what you value. At this stage, I value drivability the most, and that can come from an LS swap or EFI, unless you have a well tuned carb and you know what to do to keep it optimized. Either way, good start and keep it up.
@CarReviewsbyKJ2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I’m thankful to have it up and running and able to get on the freeway. I’m fixing the TTOPs next now that it’s running good. No LS swap planned for this one. I like the fact that I can go to the store and order parts and it’s direct fit with no modifications needed.

What about one of those efi carbs
@CarReviewsbyKJ Жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t mind getting one once the carb and manual fuel pump goes out. You’ll have a lot more control

3:02 good stuff with the bass knob under the dash :) i used to have that in my past vehicles and its a game changer if you rock the sub without it.

Yep! Sometimes you just want it without the bass or the bass dialed down a little

Great vid bro!!! Doing numbers too..love the cup holder and u just gave me confirmation to go ahead with them 8s in the trunk…I just want a nice sound inside, don’t need all that racket and trunk rattle…lol
@CarReviewsbyKJ2 жыл бұрын
Thanks bro yeah this one really surprised me with the numbers! The cup holder was only 20 bucks which is crazy. Yep them 8s hit hard too with deep bass. They’re kinda pricey but worth it.
@87SSBOI2 жыл бұрын
@@CarReviewsbyKJ so I pulled the trigger on the subs last night but I ended up going 10s...still nothing major tho and I want em mounted on that upper shelf in the trunk so I can keep my trunk space...I went with shallow mounts...gotta get started on a custom box now 👀👀👀
@CarReviewsbyKJ2 жыл бұрын
Yeah they’ll still hit hard enough. Them 8s do some damage lol

So many of us got black Cutlasses, I need one of those hoods. Looks clean man. I'm thinking about wrapping my window chrome black. Had that same shit welded in the trunk. I painted mine with turbo cans. I fucked up so imma do it again. Mine on here check it out.
