@@jsmidash Yeah, they could have been great. The year after Petrovic was killed, the Nets actually improved by 2 games and were once again a playoff team. Both Coleman (20 ppg,11 rpg) and Anderson (19 ppg and 9 apg) were All-Stars. Add a third All-Star that could average 22-25 ppg and they would have been right there challenging for the Eastern Conference Championship.

@@jsmidash Adding an in his prime All-Star to a 45 win team could have got them anywhere from a 1 seed to a 4 seed. In 93-94 there was no dominant team in the East or the NBA for that matter. Nobody gonna mention how close Hurley was to him when he started putting the moves on him. It was Ike the we’re in a phone booth together. That was insane. Better than anything Curry, Harden or any of today’s players can do. Only Kyrie is better in close quarters dribbling like that. You can tell when someone is working on their handles “Curry” as opposed to some one who has innate skills. Curry handles are good but he always looks like he’s trying hard. Kyrie looks like it’s 0 effort. Kenny probably has one of the most not trying at all handles along with Rod Strickland and Isiah Thomas (the real one).

@@jamesmayden2155 It was wierd to me at first. but even NBA refs have covered it and explained why its not. look it up. Its just a really technical move and why they call it on players who don't execute it right

The ACC was a slaughterhouse in those days. Duke, UNC, Wake Forrest, GA Tech, Virginia, Maryland. All those teams were REALLY good. ACC and Big East basketball was phenomenal.

Bobby hurley was a grinder I respect his ethic he's a coaches son and got to Duke and played real well but he's clearly over matched here... Kenny would shake any NBA guard his handles were world class plus his size and quickness made him impossible to stay in front of.
@yunggpacino4 жыл бұрын
@Adam Price By "flashy" you mean talented and gifted anyone can see the superior ball handling,speed and hand eye coordination of Kenny Anderson over 99% of basketball players who've ever picked up a basketball it's not a mystery Kenny was an all world guard at the age of 16.
@yunggpacino4 жыл бұрын
@Adam Price Lmao Kenny anderson averaged 20ppg 8 assist vs bobby Hurley's 8ppg and 9 assist 😂🤣😁
@yunggpacino4 жыл бұрын
@Adam Price Lmao off course the 4yr sample size of Bobby hurley stats didn't support your argument so you skip that and go to a miniscule 20 games sample size !! That suites your argument Lmao nice try!
@yunggpacino4 жыл бұрын
@Adam Price ok so now I see your issue you don't like NBA style point guards who break defenses off the dribble via isolation that's fine you should've just said that from the beginning lol... Bobby Hurley is a traditional point guard way less talent and definitely not an NBA style point guard which makes sense because his NBA career a grand total of 5 seasons 3ppg and 3assist vs Kenny Anderson 12 seasons 12ppg 7assist including yrs where he averaged 18ppg 8assist.
@yunggpacino4 жыл бұрын
@Adam Price Bobby Hurley played 5 NBA seasons from 1993-98 his rookie yr was the accident it was a very bad accident which he survived and made a comeback he was never going to be a great NBA pg he never was that type of player he was best suited for college in where he had a great career.

Rick Oh, did the future NBA All Star chew him? Lol It’s not like Kenny is Joe from the YMCA.

Adam Price I disagree. Hurley wasn’t headed for the Hall and he wasn’t a better player than Kenny. Hurley was a 4 year college player that was struggling big time early in his rookie season before the crash. He was basically just like Jamal Tinsley. He could pass. He had great court vision. He was a leader. But that’s where his skills ended. The guy struggled to even shoot over 40% FG in college... Would he have been in the NBA for a solid 10 years? Yes, probably. Was he going to be a star player? Absolutely not.

Adam Price Actually, their first 20 games are almost identical, with the exception being Bobby playing more minutes. And Bobby was shooting what I would imagine was among the league worst with 37% from FG and his per 36 numbers were abysimal in every single statistic aside from assists, and even then Kenny beat him in assists per 36 their first seasons. Bobby had room to grow, as Kenny did, but Bobby was never, ever going to be a star NBA player.

Kenny was a beast in college. Super quick, great ball handler and left handed. He had a nice NBA career but he didn’t quite live up to the promise he should have had a HOF career
