Just because he is the villain of the story doesnt mean that he is truly evil. Think about it. He almost died before reaching 20 years of age. And that is shitty. He had no choice about becoming demon, the medicine simply was given to him. Is not like he wanted to murder people, he just hungered so he ate. We torture and murder animals. We do not eat just to survive. So are we better than demons ? Or worse ? Also dont forget, that propably every demon he created, was A BROKEN HUMAN. Kid who couldnt walk, finally could enjoy the world. Abused child with musical talent, becomed very talented musical demon. Nezuko would have destiny worse than death after experiencing her family being brutally murdered. When you look at it emotionally dettached way and therefore clearly, you can see that Muzan obviously had tons of empathy. No matter how selfish he was, he still showed empathy to others who were broken and offered them his gift (to share his own curse, for their own good aswell as for his own good)
