I hated when brands started to "Create an Identity", but then I realised that NOT CHANGING THE DESIGN is NOT the problem, the problem is the design becoming outdated, and as for now OnePlus, Oppo, Samsung, Motorola etc designs do not look outdated because they are quite recent, simplistic and futuristic but iPhones do look outdated because it's been years, and people have started to complain, it NEEDS A REVAMP

In case of iPhones - It's been 6 generations since we haven't had a new design but they are adding new features, new buttons, removing glossy frames, removing sharp corners, they have literally changed everything about the phone except the core design.

yes i agree with you: at least curved screen model phone should come with pre applied screen guard. and one more thing when brand launching their smartphone with vegan leather back, then they should also launch at least one variant with non leather or simple glass or poly carbonate back (as per price). cuz leather back are good from aesthetic point of view but one should handle with care........ so if there are other option available then one will able to choose as per their use habit.

I am thinking about this since long, companies make curved screen but nobody thought of making a decent screen protector that works for long and fine. There are a lot of issues with the screen, accidental touches, covers covering the edges, then info being covered in the cover😢. So much problems.thats y im nt going with oneplus and other curved phones. Going to wait for nothing 3 or op 13r if its flat, to decide.

I'll only comment about the design part. Some of things iconic things are iconic because of identifiable silhouette, or sticking to a particular design pattern. Every yearly design refreshes doesn't help in establishing a brand. As much as we want change, our brain likes and prefers known patterns. That's why we listen songs on repeat, stick to a particular OS, take known roads for daily commute, and many more simple examples are there. We often feel a sense of comfort and nostalgia when we encounter familiar things, people, or places.

I recently purchased iphone 13 on sale it was really good until I updated it to ios 18 and the cable quality is so worse that I can't even describe generally I take really good of my devices and their chargers too but with iphones cable I don't feel the same and is 2k to replace (i usually keep my charger in my almirah safe after i charge but when I kept it there like i haven't put anything above that charging cable too then to it have like almost a bite was taken out of that middle portion between the cable and the pin not the hard plastic portion the one after that hard rubberlike)
