Just got this working on my i7 laptop gen 8 machine with nvidia 1gb gfx and hell this is superb. I would have loved the 16 bit Amiga's and Atari's to be better than what they were!

The only thing I can think of is that maybe you're not using the right ROM? It's been awhile since I set this up so I'm probably not the best person to ask TBH. I just followed the instructions in the manual (from the link in my video description) and it all worked without having to do anything fancy.

Not route A? how else do you get to ending A then? What other route do you follow? The only route to A is left, left, left and then left. as far as I know?

I think you misunderstood me - I was referring to the other video I linked to where I finish Route C by going left, left, right, right, not this one where I kept going left and would've finished Route A if I'd got to the end.

MrThunderwing, I am having a problem. Maybe you can solve it. Ok, I have Cannonball all set up, and I have the ROM in the ROM directory and the program is not reading it! And then, I patched all the needed files and installed it to the ROM, still nothing! Cannonball keeps saying it's not opening the rom files, when really, the ROM is in the right directory. Solution?

This has got additional visual enhancements the Saturn version doesn't, like the fact you can play in wide-screen or first person mode.

Will this ever include a feature where you can add your own cars to this game, that is something I ever wanted to do with an outrun game ever since.

The car aims slightly to the left when my gamepad or wheel is centered and there doesn't seem to be any way of setting the steering axis.

I've not had any issues like that myself. If you need assistance I'd check over at the forum for the game (you can find it using the link in the description).

What is the difference between running this and running MAME with the same ROM? Is there any new features incorporated into the game or just a different way of running the original 68k + custom hardware version of the game in Windows app today? Features = new levels/sfx/source graphics or improvements to existing audio and video etc btw not scanlines or widescreen format.

This is a enthusiastic/fan grade thing, the difference is in the sheer notion of the technology it was made with (rewritten on an advanced version of the original Amiga) not the gaming experience.
