After having read all the comments posted here praising the singers, most of which are positive in nature, you decided to spread the negativity in your mind by posting an utterly negative comment and that too of a chastising nature. The real issues are not the comments or the singers or soundarya lahari, the real issue is your prejudiced mind which couldn't even bear simple praise made by people in the comments towards the accomplished singers. yes true and also this is not just description of Devi written for praise or just out of Bhakti for Devi, it is a heavily coded secret about ultimate truth of this existence that needs to be carefully decoded which can elevate one spiritually and attain the brahma jnana.

I never knew before that Soundarya lahari is so melodious. The voices of these two sisters are enchantingly sonorous. Adi shankara has got a way of using Sanscrit words, so melodious & pregnant with inner meaning coupled with a divine vibration, which hardly a few could imitate. Surely the Language Sanscrit was somekind of flexible plastic in the hands of Sankara, which he could mould into any design & each design was competitively superior to the previous one.

Most of these stotras were written by many authors and were attributed to Shankaracharya....i am also a staunch hindu but let us stick to history..according to historians there is no proof for the existence of shankaracharya
