@@claracclenky Most likely, she prolly wanted to weaken Demacis through a civil war. But the whole ordeal ended up with Demacia allying with the mages of Freljord and getting Lux and Galio. Not to mention Jarvan IV moving away from the Mage racism angle. Not to mention Demacia now has a bunch of Petrecite constructs; Noxus' army is pretty dominant because they force corpses to continue fighting using blood magic, and petrecite nullifies and absorbs magic.

Still somewhat a shame Sona isn’t part of this whole mageseeker story, her story revolves around common folk mages in hiding, she was eventually founded a mage by the mageseekers and escaped into the woods with an open ended story, would’ve been perfect if she was at least with Lux’s crew…now the only assumption that would make sense for Sona is that she travel to another region similar to Yasuo and Ahri

It could also be that she remained silent (pun not intended) on purpose. We know she doesn't think highly of Sylas' rebellion- but she's also basically an idol and celebrity. It would be like, say, Seraphine aiding Zaun / Piltover in a history defining war. If Sona does not remain neutral, she will gain enemies. AFAIK, she's basically welcomed by all and everyone believes her music is simply talent and skill- not magic.

So happy that Sylas is getting real nuanced writing and not just a blatant villain. Vengeance is fine, but if you're looking to lead a freedom fighting movement you have to give it up for the sake of the people who look to your guidance. I really hope that Sylas and his band eventually find their way to Ionia - feel like that would be such a fantastic dynamic.

Now the 2020 cinematic make sense. At least it answered the question on why Demacia are just chill that Lux use magic and Galio appearing in the battle with her. Hopefully it will answer the petricite constructs in Legends of Runeterra and why there are so many.

The main reason for the petricite constructs is just probably that they needed followers for Galio. The need for followers for every champion they add sometimes makes it difficult to fit them well into the lore

They reference Gorlith and the Durand family in the game. The cards already answered it in flavour text & image, the Durand Family were already sculpting petricite constructs in secret out in the woods with the ranger-knights helping them.

Galio is a petricite construct made by doran, the other constructs are made by other artisans. As of now galio is the only true construct that is sentient i.e. he talks and thinks for himself; the other constructs can move like galio (with enough magic) but they're more like robots where they only follow orders and can't think for themselves. Demacia deploys these constructs on battlefields particularly against noxus since noxus relies heavily on magic like blood magic and demacia uses these constructs to dampen the magic to even the playing field. Now that demacia is slowly adopting magic again; noxus will have to up their game against demacia. Though I can vouch 100% that noxus can easily defeat demacia with its army but it would leave itself open to other factions (shurima, freljord, ionia, smaller unnamed kingdoms) which is why they can't just go after and invade demacia despite bordering each other.

Legend of Runeterra is in a different canon. So the follower constructs probably don't exist in the main canon.

Like: Mask Mother, Eitherfiend, Von Yip, Greenfang warden, Rhasa the sunderer, Rasa bloodmane & etc. The most recent ones mentioned Gorlith (petricite construct), Divine clerk, Durand Architect (Dominick durand) & the rest of the durand family.

This is REALLY good, the fact they managed to finally bring some moving forward to Demacia is refreshing. Now they are more at a Civil War than the Revolution from before and the fact terebrisia became this new refugee for mages is a neat thing to advance Lux lore for someone more responsible. Really curious what they will do to Demacia next, they should consider making a Arcane season for them.

Ikr when first time I see her I thought see is the villian or Antihero but she actually the good ones, that's what I like about riot the design and story telling, they make Kyle look like a typical good angel who will protect you but actually accurate angel is never love human they are the judge they only judge and if u not clean then that's it ur done, and Morgana is the opposite her design show the vibe of sadness, depression and broken but still trying to understand other and trying to protect, the felling more relate to human, this one is a great job by riot

One being the retributive justice (kayle) and another one being the restorative justice (morgana). That's why kayle becomes so fierce and no mercy, punish everyone who did wrong while morgana becomes so lovely and make the unrighteouses declare thier convestion and be better person (why morgana cant help sylas as he still in the fire of vengence)

@@joanofarc9793 Bruh, I main her and I'm telling you I do use her both offensively and as a support at the same time as well, and for the longest time her kit does work, but you can't deny it really is outdated, it's not a belittling its a critic!! Her Passive is just a Lifesteal that her E Skill doesn't benefit from it, her Q despite the 3k years of Root she only does so on one enemy while the others can do so on multiple or many times, her W is basically nothing really other than Farming and execute on low hp, and R well the Mageseeker game clearly shows its flaw despite its Slow... I'm not saying she needs to be loaded but at least giver her something that oomfs more from her kit if it makes sense like... 🥹

I know in hindsight it being Nocturne made more sense because he actually has nightmare and mystic powers but I didn't spare him any thought. The reason for why Morgana hides herself from the common folk despite her wanting to help them is so well explained. If she showed herself, Kayle would sense her presence and descend upon Demacia...and someone as extreme as Kayle seeing all of the atrocities the Mageseekers committed would immediately attempt to erase Demacia's current power structure and in turn cause massive chaos. Again, the Mageseekers deserve to be terminated, but Kayle is too fucking crazy to see any nuance in the matter.

Where are Xin Zhao and Sona? Xin Zhao is a family friend of Jarvan IV and Sona's a mage, so I expected them to be in the game. Xin Zhao is Ionian, though not a mage, but it still would've been interesting to see Sylas's interactions with him, since Ionia is a land that embraces magic and Xin Zhao chose to serve the royal family after he was captured. Sona is kind of like Lux in that they both want Demacia to be accepting towards mages while being against Sylas's revolution, so it could've been interesting to see her interact with Sylas, especially since she's the adopted daughter of a deceased mage-accepting noble who was close to Jarvan III. Other characters who would've been interesting to see are Cithria and Quinn, since Cithria questions the Mageseekers and Quinn has connections to Sona's family and could potentially also be questioning the Mageseekers.

We know that the meta response will probably be "limited resource". In the canon, I suppose they will say that Sona was hiding or in another region. For Xin Xao, or he was on a mission far away from Demacia or they will say he was here but "in the background" (for example, he fought followers on Sylla during the attack at the Great City but couldn't make it to join it because of the chaos of the battle). I think "on a mission far away works best". Even if he was the bodyguard of Jarvan III, they are plenty of other trouble for Jarvan IV (Noxian incursion, insubordinate noble house) which justifies sending one of his most trusty companions. It would make more sense to send Garen than Xin Xao (like in First Shield) but Garen works better for the story of Mageseeker(because of his links with Lux). Quinn is also probably on a faraway mission, which makes more sense for her. Cithria is probably in the background. Fiora is probably in the house Laurant fief, Vayne, and Lucian are surely doing sentinel stuff (I bet they track Tresh or/and Evelynn) and Galio is likely sleeping (only Lux knows how to awaken him and she obviously doesn't want to do it because of her pacifism nature, also she doesn't know how he would react in a Demacien vs Demacien conflict).

Did this Garen miss his R? Well he did. Little did I know, you can actually miss your R in the game. Yesterday I played as Garen vs Jax, which I consider a deadass counter. I shit on that Jax, of course, as I was about to cast the Justice of Demacia, he leaped to his minion in fear. I heard Garen yelling ‘Justice’ and the animation went off, but it didn’t hit Jax. The spell didn’t go on cooldown tho, so the only reason it didn’t go off was Jax escaped the range just in time. So that’s the story how Garen can actually miss R

I think he is starting to doubt. Until the end of the game he was in the dichotomy of seeing mages as threats but knowing two magical beings very personally and caring about them. We don't hear his internal justification but I imagine they sound like "They are different. They are good" etc etc and yes that is a really bad attitude. One thing I liked about the game is that in Sylas' and later Lux's camps you can find papers of people starting to overcome their ingrained fear of mages by simply living with them and seeing that they are just people. To quote one "Every day, my fear of them gets a little bit smaller." Jarvas however is removed from that. Beyond just seeing mages as different beings, maybe not entirely people anymore, he is already distant from them because he is royalty. He is not close to the common folk. You could say he was always taught to the see the grand picture, Demacia, that he wasn't able to see the individual people. During the end of the game he is starting to see the horrors of the mageseekers and makes actions to try and make things right but it is only a start. Demacia as a whole is defined by this hypocrisy. I think one of Swains voice lines about Garen fits rather well. "You are blind to the magic of your own sword. How very Demacian." (Sth like this at least)

I'd say J4 is trying to be a better man deserving of Shyvana's love, and im rooting for them. Love is difficult, and if both parties can see each others faults, still love one another and improve themselves to be better people cuz of that? Then its a love worth fighting for.

@@decidueyezealot8611 Demacians know about Kayle, the winged protector is mentioned many times throughout the game, that part of history wasn't erased, what got erased was the reason for Demacia's founding. Instead of it being a place of safety from the rune wars, it became a place of safety from magic. But being Kayle is effectively a god she gets a pass cause of Demacian hypocrisy. Also Kayle isn't there anymore, Demacians just pray to her because they don't know she left.

One, language issues. Two, nobody even knows where Ixtal is and Qiyana would rather enslave them and treat them like dirt. The situation is more complicated than that. the mageseekers in demacia are one of the most glaring cases where problems are manifesting, but as sylas also points out, the leadership of demacia is flawed too. its culture of mage hate and fear is flawed, and while it currently stands, there will be problems in demacia that sylas will continue to fight against. why jarvan changes his mind...its not easy. its over quite the span of time, and after he nearly loses garen, lux, and shyvana, as well as seeing just how his actions have allowed the mageseekers to go too far and gain too much power. its a lot of difficult decisions and conflicted emotions, but he does ultimately make a decision to do the right thing, but how much he will be able to change for the better with his decision...well...only time can tell.
