Good to see you back Michael and to put a face to the voice. A nice little haul of goodies to eventually run on the layout too. Looking forward to more ‘regular’ postings from you. Paul

Thanks Paul, Hopefully not too long now until trains can just run around the whole layout, can't wait 😁 cheers, Michael

Good to see you back Michael and sorry to hear you have been unwell. That track work looks very good and repays the considerable effort in building it. Look forward to seeing the LMS Coaches running over it. Stephen

Thanks Stephen, Yes it was a really nasty bug that lingered for ages, I certainly didn't feel upto crawling under baseboards soldering! Hopefully not long until trains are running but as usual, I've ran out of something so I need to wait on supplies lol. Cheers, Michael

You can’t go wrong with the CMX. I’ve had one for years now and it works a treat. You will find yourself still spot cleaning on occasion anyway.
@MichaelHenfrey5 жыл бұрын
Hi Rob, Yes I have heard alot of positive things about them, alot easier than cleaning it all by hand.

Michael Henfrey I find I use my Tidy Track cleaner too, even after a big clean. Some spots need more.

Good to see you back mucker...I'm in the same boat...lost motivation for modeling after the new year, only just had the railway back out recently. Look forward to your next update.

Thanks, Yes it can be easy to lose motivation sometimes, It can be nice to have a little break now and then. Just as long as you can remember what you were doing before.. Lol. Cheers

excellent work on hand laying track. will be nice to see trains running on it, a bit of a test. level crossing, you could use plaster, or spakling paste compound, I know there are many videos on the subject. see you on the next update, with some of the new stuff on the rails maybe?
@MichaelHenfrey5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Sparky, Yes hopefully not long now until trains are running a full loop. Yeah plaster might work, or I might make it wooden. I need to see if I need to add in check rails first. Cheers

Looking really good Michael! I'll be interested in how you get on with the CMX, certainly something I'm considering when my new layout is up and running!

Thanks, I have heard nothing but praise for them so I thought it's got to be easier than doing it all by hand. I shall keep you posted on how well it works (not sure if my loco will pull it as its really heavy)

Hi Michael, I know what you mean about long delays between videos as I haven't posted since April but soon I hope!. I didn't realise that you track was to 4-SF standards. My canal Sidings layout is also to 4-SF although only through the point work, plain track being from SMP.I must shell out for one of those CMX track cleaning cars. I keep putting it off. Where did you get yours from?Good to see you back and I look forward to some more from Dexfield. .....................John
@MichaelHenfrey5 жыл бұрын
Hi John, Hope to see more videos from you soon then 🙂. Yeah the 4-SF works great as long as the b2b's are good (usually on newer wheels) but on the section that is wired up my Jinty runs like a dream over pointwork. I don't blame you for only doing the points, it's been alot of work and still plenty more to do but totally worth it. I got my cmx from digitrains (cheapest I could find it) so hopefully it runs fine on my pointwork, I will certainly feedback on it. Cheers, Michael
