No voice enhancements, no instrument enhancements, this is live, this is stunning singing, this is stunning musicianship, this is real, this is brilliant and this is MUSIC at its best.

I’m pretty sure there were still some enhancements they made like microphones to get different parts of the orchestra so that the music doesn’t drown out any other parts, but this was a beautiful performance nonetheless.

One accidental slip on the piano turned Bach's 'Air on the G String' into one of the evergreen classics of progressive rock (it even went top 5 in the US). Somehow forgotten as new acts came along to supplant them, Procol Harum's initial impact cleared the way for a whole groundswell of talented British musicians.

The singer is Gary Brooker the last remaining member of the original band Procol Harum. He passed away earlier this year. And this is not "white music", this is REAL music. It's a beautiful thing when music crosses the "barrier" between people of different colors, belief systems, languages etc. and elicits the same reactions in all who hear it regardless of where you're from. In those moments we are all just simply brothers and sisters.

One of the greatest songs ever performed with the beauty of Denmarks Philharmonic Orchestra.... beauty enhanced. Gary Brooker had that legendary voice which threw this into a neverending classic

How much practice does that take? Well, they'd been performing this piece for 40 years at this point, so I'd guess hundreds of hours, yeah? I do admire that dedication.

There used to be one of the practice vids of the 1980s when they played a gig in London. Of course for the Choir is based on Bach, which they would sing anyway in various versions

After you've heard this melody, it will haunt you for the rest of your life. I first heard it in the 80s playing "Leisure suit Larry". And that was on a PC speaker!! Still the melody remained in my heart!

Please never ask 😐 for a song to hurry up and start! Funny-weird---that when I watch another reactor looking & listening to the beginning of this masterpiece, that they look annoyed that the music seems to them is playing on, and on forever!! Some people have absolutely no, not one, bit of patience...You People, yes I'm talking to YOU out there in La-La land, if you are having such a hard time sitting still and can't enjoy the Awesome quality of this Outta**sight complete musical masterpiece, then please 🥺 by all means, bow-out and let all of us that do enjoy every piece of this beautiful song enjoy it to our hearts content...Thank you Mr. Video Man for your reaction, have a great, great day!! Thumbs up 👍👍👍

Adore Gary Brooker, his voice has never changed & is incredible! He's the songwriter & founder, lead singer of Procol Harum. Just brilliant!!

I think the guys gathered right around the vocalist, who's name is Gary Brooker, are members of his original group which was called Procol Harum. They don't have on the fancy clothes that the actual orchestra members have on. It looks like all those folks wearing red might be graduating during this ceremony? Not sure, but this is a special performance, which turned out quite magnificently, I think! Procol Harum was a successful group of a few guys from several decades ago, maybe the '70s? Gary Brooker is the lead singer of that group. Glad you enjoyed it, so did I. ~I love your channel & your reactions~

I went into a local bar in Florida, and this song was playing on the jutebox. And just for a song, three 70 something men were singing there heart out. Made them feel young again.

Saw Procol Harem at the Golders Green Hippodrome in 1974, a BBC In Concert radio broadcast. The first live gig I went to, a 16 year old. I wasn't particularly into the band before that but they put on great show. Love this version.

I always love your commentary, no matter what subject you are reacting to. What was funny was that I had gotten chills at the same moment that you showed yours! See, there's something to that black and white keys on the same piano...

This was a most popular song in the 70's. And Procol Harum sounded just like this. People have deciphered many meanings t the song, and of course I have mine. It is beautifully done and remains one of the all time greats in history!

RIP Gary Brooker this song is over 60 years old and its apparent they kept taking it up another level . BTW that was an Oboe not a flute. The 2006 version in Denmark was a master piece
