Back in the '90's every club played this to get the crowd going. Also Univ of Wisconsin had a group of students who played it up in one section of the stands back then because there weren't a lot of fans at the game. My favourite line of that song which always makes me laugh is "Excuse me Signora (Signora meaning "Madam/Mistress") "Are you a horror or are you a Lady" "Is it Erica Boyer or Marsha Brady" (Erica Boyer = 70ties/80ties Porn Star, Marsha Brady = the very straight daughter from the TV show "The Brady Bunch") And at the start of the video there is Denis Leary ranting as usual... saying at the end of his rant "Pogue Mahone" which is an irish/gaelic saying meaning "Kiss my arse" And by the way the MC´s name is Everlast .

Everlast actually came out in the late 80s under Ice T and the Rhyme Syndicate. Everlast is real hip hop and still makes some pretty solid tracks

I remember them days. Everlast is on the party track What Ya Wanna Do from Ice's Iceberg album. That was 1989.

*Ready on the right...? Ready on the left... Ready on the right...* This song infused cardio, rap and Irish inebriation at its pinnacle. Brilliant. Mr. Video - you attempted your "jumping around" techniques admirably.

The early rappers always talking tough about beating each other, because the whole point of rap originally was entertaining the crowd between records and while introducing records or acts. The MCs with the best rap skills became really famous and important, and then they started making their own records too. Where I lived, they called it "warp and rap," because they warped and scratched the vinyl during the rap.
