This is the first FIFA that I'm actually playing online so I'm a complete noob, and out of all the videos I've searched on KZbin, yours I think are the best. The one other thing I would ask for is for you to do a video on defending, specifically what buttons you use and when in certain situations. I'm still unsure when to just hold X (on PS4), or when to move around holding L2 and try to time a tackle with circle. Thanks for the awesome videos!

Thanks for the tip video. Just as some commenters say, you're the best when giving Fifa 14 tip on KZbin. One question I have is: how do you make the player who's doing the fake shot turn the opposite (180 degree) direction? Do you steer left stick in some direction? It seems easy when you do it on the screen, but not so easy when I try it my own. Also, how do you do that "little turn" at 1:12? Steer left stick just a bit? Thanks again.

For the opposite direction, you steer it behind you. So if you're facing left, push it right. Push it in the direction you want to turn. Yep, the turn at 1:12 is simply just moving the left stick at a slow speed, nothing else.

Things I'd like to learn are: what are the most useful dribbling moves (I'm not talking about those fancy ones that requires multiple right stick flicks, which we rarely have time to do in competitive environment), how to counter the high pressure tatic (I am disappointed that EA allows players to utilize tactic to extreme; it really kills the joy of playing soccer simulation game), what are different attacking modes (lob ball, wing play with crosses, and what else?), what to do when we reach the left/right side of the big goalie box on opponent's field (some suggest precision dribbling with LT+RT, but I find that not as useful). Please consider making video tutorials on this. I'm spreading word on this videos and your channel on fb. :>

I've been watching these a lot and I really want to bring some composure to my game so thanks for the tips dude. Question, when you dribble, are you holding R1/RB? Cuz their movement is so precise. It can't be the normal dribbling. One more thing. Can you explain what to keep in mind when doing the little movements? For example at 2:58 you move the ball between your feet. How did you do that? Cuz I've been trying these and the drag backs (if you can explain that as well lol) but I just can't seem to move the stick right. So what i wanted to know was, how to stay calm and composed so I can do this with vision. Plus some explanation on the little movements. I know I'm asking a lot but it'd really help me out. When I dribble slow like at 2:58 I will be holding L1 with a player that has high dribbling. I don't use drag-backs, I use side steps sometimes but I don't think either are that useful. You can't really teach calm & composed, to be honest. Sounds arrogant, but it's just about practising, try to use the radar if it helps find a player. Try get the ball into feet of a player between the lines of midfield and defence, as that where the danger area often is. Move slowly and also hold L1/LB to force players to make runs. Mix it up as well. Hope I could help

Great tips. I utilize the fake shot a lot when running down the wing and then cutting into the box. I do want to see these how these same moves hold up against a high pressure/team pressing opponent, as you won't have time to stop and start all the time

You do though. These moves are so quick & agile that they work against any pressure of defence. The stop & start, when mastered, only takes a millisecond to move off in another direction.

Thanks Tomás. Episode 2 is out now as well. :) 1. Yes I will do that next time. The reason I didn't do it so much is because most of the moves didn't involve any buttons, i.e. the stop & start but I will include button combos for ones that do. 2. A lot of people have said the same. I'll work on something to hopefully help :)

MrVimtoJoe i know this is gonna sound like an idiotic question - i am new to playing FIFA and i am playing FIFA 14 with Bayern-Munich. i have shot assistance on but i don't understand how to aim my shots... i know i use the left stick but when in the practice arena i am looking right at the goal running at it - well i obviously push the O button and after that i push the stick to the left and up to put it into the left top hand corner of the net. if i hit O and then press the stick to the right i hit it to the right and into the right side of the goal. same thing goes for hitting right and angling down to put it into the bottom of the net. how does this translate into the game kicking left to right? do i press the left stick left to put it into the left side? or do i hold the left stick up and right to put it into the top left corner? and same goes for the right side - do i press down and right on the left stick to put the ball into the right top hand corner of the net? and if i want to keep the ball on the ground use a "driven kick" by holding L1 while hitting O and aiming pressing straight toward the goal from the camera view i have? basically, what i'm asking...i have never heard in any tutorial video or anything HOW to aim. they also say "aim at the near post or far post" or something like that but they never say HOW.... i tried first to use the left stick the same way as i do when looking at the goal and attacking the goal in the practice arena but that didn't seem to work it just shot the ball randomly and missed far left and high..... please explain which way to push the left stick and if we press it after beginning to hold down the shoot button (O for me as i'm on PS3), that would be so helpful and i know many would be eternally grateful as i've seen the question asked on MANY tutorial videos and i have asked it myself half a dozen times but nobody has ever answered. please sir... where do we press the left stick when we are attacking the goal IN GAME kicking left to right and obviously in the regular camera mode in which everything is sideways?

First let me say I love your videos and they've been a great help to my rise from Division 6 to 3. The use of L1 has been a magnificent game changer for me as has the push into space trick. My plea to you is how you handle the high pressure defenses. In this video the guy was doing a ton of contain and it seemed almost as if he was letting the AI play defense. What about the guys that relentlessly pressure you all over the field. I've lost the ball a lot of possession trying to use L1 or L2 when this happens. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. (Passing and getting lucky has been my best bet so far).

People who press high always leave space. The key is to find the space and also use lots of quick dribbling movements like I showed in the vid to get past players. I'll try expand more in a video against someone who uses high pressure more

Are you playing manual? I do but need help to prevent my opponents having so much time and space on the ball. What settings do I change so that I pressurise them as much as they do me? Plus why do I never get to run clean through when the ball is good. I'm always caught by defenders and run off the ball when if it was them they'd be 1 on 1 with keeper, so annoying! Thanks

I thought the stop button on the ps3 was R2? The same button for sprint but if you just tap it you go to a complete stop? And this was an amazing video! I have a quick question for you - I find that the speed at which my player moves holding L1 is slower that the speed at which your player moves in this video - what could be the reason for this (I have tried both options - Analog Spring mode ON and OFF but makes no difference). I assume you're referring to the stop & start, in which case, you don't hold L1, you only tap it quickly to stop the player, then move off in a different direction using normal controls. Holding L1 will slow the player down but he'll keep the ball closer to his feet.

Well I've only ever used 1 camera angle, the one you see in this video and all my other ones, which is Co-Op, 0 zoom, 20 height. That gives me the best view of the pitch. Is it the best for dribbling? Dunno, probably not, because it's really zoomed out, but it works best for me overall

It's not so much that the small movements trick the defender. Have you tried making small movements with a defender? They can't do it, players without the ball are harder to control than the player with the ball. It's like they're skating on ice or something. So therefore small movements are really difficult to match by defenders - if you're trying to manually move a defender toward the ball.

True to an extent; but with defenders you don't need to make small movements, it's all about anticipating what he's going to do and then getting there before he can do it. The most effective way of defending/tackling is to... well, not tackle at all. Sounds wrong but I'll try expand in a future video
