Thank you! As for the lifts, they typically go on sale for around $1099 during Christmas time. They are called quick jacks and for this particular model, it has a 5000lb limit.

How did you find out that differential bushings needs changing?

Hi Karlis, I noticed that there was a very noticeable clunking in between my normal shifting. There was also fluid leaking around the differential so I did a little research on the forums and found that this was a common issue fixed under warranty. Check under your car for any dark residue surrounding your differential and if your warranty is still valid, be sure to make an appointment with your dealership if you see any of these symptoms. Let me know if you have any questions!

I thought our m4s called for Pennzoil or does it matter??? Should I take it to the dealership for oil change and spark plugs?

Chris Fleming I tend to stick with OEM Genuine BMW oil when dealing with oil changes but you are more than welcome to use another. Oil changes are fairly quick to do (oil filter is right up top to make it even easier!) and like any other car, but spark plugs on the other hand take a few hours to do and you will need to gap them accordingly to your tune, etc. In short, Oil change = 30 minute DIY; Spark plugs = Several hours depending on experience.

Hey man. I’m thinking about getting an m4 with 70,000 on it. She’s a manual. Going to be checking with the seller to make sure it has service history and records. Do you think it’s a good idea to buy such a high mileage. The price is unbeatable obviously. I’m also in PA so whenever I do end up getting one, whether it’s this one or not, we should link up

Hey Tim, I would definitely make sure they have a complete history track of his services and also see if he has an extended warranty. Being a higher mileage m4, I would do as much preventative maintenance as possible if you were to get it and also flush all fluids and also see if the clutch has been replaced as many tend to go out around 50k (Obviously depends on driver). A common issue on these are also rear differential bushings going out, which I fortunately got replaced under warranty so I would highly recommend an extended warranty. Definitely take your time. Try to find one with the fewest previous owners so there’s less uncertainty with the history of the vehicle. I wish you the best of luck and I hope we’ll be good M4 PA buddies!

@@juniorgonzalez7825 Honestly right now is a terrible time to buy cars, especially “car enthusiast” prices. To get the best deal, I would personally wait a few more months/end of 2021 to pick up an M4 cause the prices are currently SKYROCKETED for any “performance” car. That price does sound correct for the current time being, but unless you’re in a rush, I would again wait till the end of the year and relook. Just order the parts now though LOL

My Factory Warranty ran out a year ago (Only thing replaced under warranty was my rear differential bushings). Have not reached out to a third party warranty since lol; no major issues to repair except windshield motor. Let me know if you have any other questions!
