sounds like I will need to move a lot of my special points from other areas to endurance. of course the point reduction of many cards is going to help. I have always thought that the max point cost of many cards was too high. this will be a good change.

Same feelings, I have way too many points spent on weight reductions, being the looter that I am. Trying to balance the Endurance tree will be interesting, I've pretty much only had Adamantium there, and now I need the points to keep it effective for the Bird Bones mutation. Good thing the Starched Genes moves there. Then again, mine is a full health build that's already quite tanky, in or out of PA, and all of these make it even more worthwhile. I don't even use cards like Adrenaline, Ricochet or Tenderizer yet, but now there's a chance.

7:14 I run full health power armor heavy weapons and always run ricochet. Not for the damage it did to targets but just to avoid some damage taken. This change is absolutely mouth watering.

I just started playing and went in blind (i usuaully start off a game without looking up tips, etc. until later) and have totally picked perks for rifles, shotguns, crafting not knowing that I should have specialized. So, now I'm working on building for better weapon use. So for now, I don't want to see anything more powerful than the current overland mobs. lol

As a stealth build I appreciate the change to Night Eyes It will apply to all low-light scenarios, like caves and building interiors, regardless of the time of day. No need for light source giving away your location.

Every time i see the ordnance express, that reminds me of a red China joke, 东风快递(dongfeng express) this is a meme joke in china, which refers as the dong feng missile. I had to retype this comment a few time to keep from swearing, so please bear with me. I hate playing games that force specific builds, and that is exactly what this is about to do. For example, my main character (not optimized, obviously) is a full health, heavy type. I have 3 points in endurance and charisma, max points in strength, intelligence, and luck. Now, I need to reshuffle points into categories I know I don't want in order to keep using the perks I do. While I take nothing away for those excited about this, and I wish you all the best in Appalachia, for me, this is nothing but a play breaker. I mean, I am essentially being forced to change a 5 year build for no obvious reason other than devs patting themselves on the back and feeling relevant. I apologize for this rant, to those who support this change. Again, I wish nothing but caps and tons of scrap for all the vault dwellers I have encountered. But for my future travels, I just don't know.

i agree. i have 5 characters each with at least three builds a piece, and some of them are perfect. this change will destroy those builds and may even make those characters unplayable. it's bad enough that they nerfed some of my favorite weapons into the ground (gauss shotgun being one) now they pull this crap? it seems to me that they are intentionally trying to kill the game.

This is why the cost is coming down on a lot of them, to offset it. So yes you may well have to move some points but if a bunch of cards have gotten cheaper, you now have those points spare to move.

I like it. I think it gives us a little room to refine and even somewhat supercharge our builds for the short term while giving them the flexibility (in terms of S.P.E.C.I.A.L. points budget) to introduce some new perk cards going forward.

As a newer player, Lone Wanderer now sounds like the first skill card you should go for. Most new players want to just explore the world on their own and experience the game so the *almost* free damage reduction and AP regen is amazing.

This sounds like a nerf to serendipity. The secret service armor everybody likes counts as heavy armor, meaning it adds two seconds to the cooldown for a total of three seconds cooldown. The current version has no cooldown afaik. So if you've got a super mutant hosing you down with a minigun, you'll only get to avoid at most one bullet per three seconds instead of 45% of all bullets with the current perk. Serendipity is the main perk that keeps bloodied builds alive, so this could make things tough. Maybe the new ricochet will help make up the difference?

Since I heard nothing about it from anyone, I would assume no perk points given to compensate, unless you got them in animated version and you can claim enough cards to replace them later, I would suggest scrapping those before update comes just to be sure

Not sure if its a buff really. It was a 45% chance but now its much lower even with high luck and a full set of Secret Service means it will only trigger once every 3 seconds

I wish they would remove the perk coin cost for unequipping legendary perks and make them change automatically like the regular perks do when we switch builds in the punch-card machine. It's a hassle having to manually swap them when I go between my PA and non PA builds.

Heavy Gun Vats is gonna be SO MUCH FUN. I am sooooo ready for this next update. Been crafting VATS versions of the Gauss Minigun, Gatling Plasma, and the Ultracite Gatling Laser. Vampire's is gonna be big in the Raid, i would think. Just that lvl 2 with the one shot kill Mole Miner seems brutal.

For people that crit every other shot, Four Leaf Clover will be amazing. I might even swap 50% VATS hit chance for 50% crit damage on my Plasma Caster, since I'm gonna hit every other shot anyway, no matter what my hit chance is.

@kavalogue Well if it helps here's my full load out from what I can remember off the top of my head. .Full set of Unyielding SS armor. Relevent Mutations. Bird Bones. Grounded. Healing Factor. Herbivore. Scaly Skin. . Legendary perks (all maxed out) Luck, intelligence, perception, endurance, strength and Funky Duds. Relevent cards for bloodied builds. Strength - Blocker (maxed out) Endurance - Ironclad (maxed out) - Fireproof (maxed out) - Lifegiver (1 or 2 star) Charisma - Strange in numbers (and join a team of course) Intelligence - Nerd Rage Agility - Evasive (maxed out) -Dodgy (maxed out) -Born survivor - (1 or 2 star) Luck - Serendipity (maxed out) - Class freak ( maxed out) - Starched genes (maxed out) This along with plenty of super stimpaks for auto healing. This is what works for me still.

It becomes useless after you get to more than 300 damage resistance, so basically if you have secret service Armor it's useless asf but if you are a beginner (assuming you have poor damage resistance) you might find it worth using

Serendipity, Evasive and Ricochet perk cards were nerfed to hell. This is the worst update change ever! They cut all three to HALF their original effects. 45% trigger for Serendipity is now 28%, Evasive went from 45+ per AGL to 28% and now Ricochet drop down to 8% maximum. It is a dark day for defense cards for Bloodied Builds

last time I checked they had fixt it. but when it was broken I turned off the power armor hud display in settings so I could see the compass markers and now I am so use to playing this way I left the power armor display turned off. as for the crashes I think they are getting worse. I hope they fix the crashes before the game becomes unplayable
