Got my 13 Pro Max last week and I must say I’m still impressed over and over again every day about the battery life - it‘s really insane! Just yesterday I was doing a lot of work on the phone and had about close to 15h screen on time going from 100% down to 20% and that‘s mostly at half brightness, sometimes a little less but never lower than about a third of the slider and bluetooth and Wi-Fi on! I literally used the phone regularly from 7:30am to exactly 5am the next morning without charging it and with no major breaks 😅 and I still had about 18% left when I plugged it in

I've owned every 2 generations of the S series since S4. To me S6 edge+ was a very amazing premium feeling where it has the aluminium sides and glass back/screen with an amazing battery life at that time of 6h+ on youtube, and the screen was very bright and super HD. Not to mention the first curved phone that actually has many features to it. Also fingerprint sensor which is very fast and reliable. S7 series was basically a copy of the S6 with some performance improvements, hence I dident get it. I then got the S8 (edge)+ which was one of the first phones with an amazing screen to body ratio which is what most phones company copied even til this day, much better gaming performance and a much better battery life at 8h+ on youtube/ 5-6h on games. Once again S9 is basically a copy of the S8 with minor spec buff so I dident get it. Then comes the S10+... Oh man this phone is a beast in every aspect possible when its released. The screen to body ratio is almost as if there isnt a bezel, insane stereo speakers, super premium feeling, the holepunch which actually looks kinda cool, in display fingerprint sensor that dosent use a bright light to blind you at night and it only requires one swift tap of less then 0.3 seconds to unlock, insane gaming performance to price ratio and battery life once again improved to over 12h on youtube easily. Im currently using this as my spare phone after I got my S21 series. Bought it on pre-release on march 2019 and there is literally no degrading over 3 years, battery still lasts over 12h on youtube and it can even run genshin at 60fps (tho other settings must be low). An amazing phone to recommend even in today's age as you can easily buy a new S10+ online for $200 or less. And to think its a phone released almost 3 years ago... S20 is just an upgraded S10 again with minor design change to the back, skipped once again. Then for the S21 series, I pre-ordered both the S21+ for my sis and the S21 ultra for myself, I've used the S21+ for about a month then the S21 ultra ever since. A few things to note is that the S21+ has a downgraded display of 1080p instead of 1440p, they removed the curved screen which I felt like it was a cool feature to have, and honestly battery wise even tho it has a huge upgrade, I dont feel much difference from the S10+ at about 12h on youtube/ 5-6h on demanding games, they removed the headphone jack and for some reason the speaker is slightly worst then the s10+ (in my opinion). Apart from that, the 120hz screen feels super fluid and I now can see the lag when I use my S10+ to browse stuff online, performance wise it has improved a lot and can now run genshin at max settings 60fps for about 30mins then it starts to slow down a bit. Also I love the S21+ design and the colour (violet with rose gold camera/bezel) and it has a very nice matt finish to it, on top of a nice camera improvement. Onto the S21 ultra, the 16gb of ram feels more like a gimmick then anything as I dont see any performance improvement compared to the S21+ 8gb, in fact I think the unused ram is jus draining battery. Performance wise almost no difference in games/ normal use, battery is very similar to the S21+/S10+ at 14-15h on youtube and 6h on super demanding games like genshin max settings despite the fact that its supposed to have a much better adaptive screen refresh rate compared to the S21+. It obviously looks more premium and has better display, but overall S21+ is much more value for money as battery and performance is very very similar and have a much slimmer, lighter feel to it.

aside from the phone itself, i think the main problem for google pixel series is the distribution line. i mean in my country it almost cost double the price with no available service center (apple store is also not available in my country but at least they have official distributor that don't double the price) in the whole country. aside from that technical problem, absolutely recommend it for people who want to buy an android phone.

I've watched you for years now & love your content but I've disagreed with all battery competitions from all creators since it isn't a real competition since you're comparing multitasking to non & if you can multitask then you are saving time which saves battery. Battery test should be done at least sometimes on a task basis & on how efficiently tasks are handled on how battery is saved because of avoiding what other phones can do. This needs to be accounted for or the tests don't actually make real world sense. Keep it up!

I didn't have a clear favorite to win the design of the year myself, but I've got to say the winning Vivo phone isn't all that special to me. Google's Pixel 6 lineup beats it easily and so does the phantom silver S21 Ultra or even the Oneplus 9 Pro. Great video nevertheless, very fun to watch:)

Unpopular opinion : Tech reviewers have a bias towards iphone. Slightest of things iphones are good at gets way more appreciation and coverage and no matter how many more other things the competitors are good at, all those things will still be ignored and not appreciated. If iphone has the best battery then that becomes a deciding factor, if iphone has a better camera then that becomes the deciding factor. Basically it is expected that all other phones have to prove themselves in each and everything (ie every aspect) and isnt supposed to have any shortcomings whereas apple can get away with all its shortcomings and get overly huge praises for the things that it is good at as if thats the only thing to consider (ie look for in a phone) and all other things are irrelevant .

I'm an Android user (have the Pixel 6 Pro atm) but you can also see it as the reviewers try a lot of phones and all seem to agree that iPhones are well made and optimized phones. I mean, apparently they take great pictures, incredible videos, have great battery life and excellent performance. I could not jump and appreciate having ios and I believe some Android phones are pretty much neck and neck in these categories but it's not like they are promoting bad phones

@@zethloveless7238 Aside from the fact that most of mobile games are capped in 60, even if it supports 120 hz, if you play a hardware demanding game like Genshin Impact, most of the mid ranger 500-600$ android phones can run Genshin with around 30-40 fps in average. This iPad runs it in 60 at max settings even for 8-9 hours without any problem, it’s not even using half power of its CPU to run it. In short, you can’t really get any advantage even in the supported titles from 120 Hz if your hardware isn’t strong enough to deliver the refresh rate for your screen. But yes, Genshin is capped at 60 even on PC for example.

My pixel 6 pro is turning up on Monday. I am a former Sony/Sony Ericsson fan and their light touches on the Google experience. Upgraded from an Xperia XZ Pro to an S10+ (my first ever samsung). The hardware on the S10+ is great, but I just have not got along with One UI at all, hence my kind of side-grade to a Pixel 6 pro. Plus the naming of Sony phones... Sony sort your naming convention out!

Completely agree, Apple was thrown a lot of sh!t because of the battery life and now that they are above everyone in the game no one says something about it. I think the iphones are really lacking on the fingerprint scanner, face id is trash in our current world of masks... That is a dealbreaker for me tbh

From my experience as a pixel user it's basically a different flavor it's fun you probably won't regret it but something I'll say is that no one has accessories for a pixel usually. You do get asked sometimes like dang what phone is that, back when I had my Nexus 6p. But if you don't want to lose the ease of using your phone I would advise against switching. But if you do join we are happy to take you on board. Just make sure you are doing it because you might lose stuff. Hope it helps.

Samsung make great phone and the way they release their flagships is like they're telling other companies to like "oh here is our flagship for the year feel free to make it your standard and go up from it" their folds/flips doesn't have much competition but their S series is the Standard for android that them releasing all of it in Feb of each year is crazy. The Note won't be a name to be release before iPhones anymore so their will be no refined version of the S SERIES
