I think for Lud it was in sync since he was singing along to Wobbles, but for Wobbles he was probably hearing Lud's singing one second behind. As long as Wobbles kept a steady rhythm, it would sound fine on Lud's stream

Wobbles knows that the largest impact is had by impressing new viewers so making it sound best on Ludwig's side does more overall in the long run (plus, he gets to put it together nicer for his YT anyway, so win/win). He took the harder route to get a bigger payoff and props to both of them for making it actually sound really nice in parts. There's limits on improv and delay though, and I think that makes the more unintentionally dissonant stuff more tolerable. To even line up properly is already sick.
