It was a good game not great, but good. Raid mode is a fun time-sink, though repetitive in some of its challenge gauntlets. And difficulty spikes was only due to enemies becoming heavier bullet sponges who could practically one shot you. That was a big complaint back in the day. I actually really enjoyed it. The most annoying thing about this entry was all the Claire criticisms, of people not liking her face and look. She looks fine to me, like a natural Caucasian woman. Everyone had this warped anime sense of beauty where all the women need to have tiny noses and look like porcelain dolls. And I remember unlocking her costume for the final chapter of the game where her hair was cropped short and people kept making comparisons to Jill. It’s like we finally got Clair out of that tired old ponytail look for a change and people b**ched about that too. And I remember saying,…. So why does Jill get to grow her out into a ponytail for the BSAA but Clair can’t cut hers? It was a simple yet constant thorn prik complaint in the forums back in the day. But it was brought up constantly. This is why RE as a fan base can have nice things , and the series has all these stagnant characters with little to no character growth. Leon still wearing his rookie fresh out of high school boyband hair to this day, and it’s like, he hasn’t changed his haircut since the 90s? I get it it’s iconic I guess. But changing things up every once in a while isn’t so bad either. Anyway I actually enjoyed Rev2. More than Rev1 actually.

This game's raid mode is a lot of fun. One of the few things I don't like in that mode is how slow enemies are in the easier difficulties.

One of the biggest complaints back in the day was that difficulty was basically just determined by how much more of a damage the enemies got as you progressed. I remember they added these extra hard new gauntlets called “red alert” or something I forget, but people were annoyed cuz it was jus more bullet sponge nonsense as the difficulty spike. Raid mode was fun for a time, but repetitive.

I remember years ago i got to play this game for the first time in Xbox, which was also my first time ever playing on an Xbox and stuff (before that, i never really played any of this kind of "complex" games with good graphics and all the nice stuff stuff bc i was poor lol) and this was honestly GROUNDBREAKING to me. Who knows if it was because it was my first experience playing a good game like this, but i got INVESTED on this game and it quickly became my favorite those times. It was also the game that got me into Resident Evil. I got really invested in the story and all, i wanted to play the second, third and fourth chapters sooo BAD but couldn't buy them, so i pretty much just replayed the first chapter (which was free i think?) a lot of times and got a little bit experienced playing Xbox in general like that. I haven't got to play resident evil since then, and i honestly liked it too much that i never really saw any gameplay past chapter 1 so i wouldn't spoil it to myself, just in case i had the chance to play it in the future. Althought i didn't get to play past chapter one, this game really has a place in my heart to this day. This video game me a lot of nostalgia.

you probably didn't switch moira. when neil holds claire down, after his boss fight. you switch to moira and grab the gun. killing him. you get the good ending that way. essentially where natalia lives.

Some good ideas. Characters are off. Desgins are off. Good villain idea one of the last ones that make sense and they wasted it by making a totally subpar game. Where they try to make it also kindof like last of us and cash in on that. On top of these characters being morally.....meh? The story sucks but the premise is really good. Resident Evil has and will put out total dogsht if we accept it. And i am a super fan but no longer a fan boy. They can have and should have made better. I bought this game and was very disappointed. I am entitled to my opinion, they have my money, i beat the game twice one solo and one co-op and it isnt even a fly fart compared to re5 and even re5 had a lot of hate. This game was nothing and gave you nothing. This game doesnt deserve to sit at the feet of code veronica which is a controversial re title so games like 1 2 and 3 it has no chance. This was ONE good idea (lacking) away from becoming operation raccoon city. Be honest with yourself. This is an any game with claire and barry skins. And barrys design doesnt work. Also the game looks bad doesnt matter if its in 4k. Love the island idea and the main idea of the bad guy kindof grasping at straws but it DOES make sense so you better do something good with this last uncovered rock but nope its a cash grab. Also i love how theyll launch a game on a Nintendo handheld and then it wins up on a ps4 or ps5 anyway wtf.
