Not true at all. While racism exists, discrimination exists, opportunities also exist. Patience learning and having a goal are key for newcomers’ success. Easy to blame others and the system, but this won’t take newcomers anywhere. Also, not true that immigrants are not in decision-making positions in Canada. I’ve been in Canada since the late Brian Mulroney was a prime minister, and I have seen a lot of migrants appointed as ministers or deputy ministers. Also, I have been in the federal government as a scientist, lawyer, and senior advisor for 23 years and I can tell you that there a large number of immigrants who made it to the highest ranks. Not sure about the provincial governments though, but I have seen many as MPPs in Ontario, Quebec, and BC over the years. The bottom line is for immigrants to succeed, they should keep the focus and understand that it won’t be easy, but at the end of the day they will get to where they want.

Do not generalize immigrants! Because of cultural historical political clashes, and two decades of negative propaganda, Muslims are in a difficult position! I just came off the bus, and there was a white girl sitting on perpendicular seats throwing all her hairs on her face, so that I can not see her face! while I never look at people, this kind of hatred is a daily occurance! I can write a long list of my experiences but refuse because one man's experience is not enough, but go and check youtube, MSN and other news outlets and read the comment sections you will get an idea! Ministers you mentioned as example , is not valid, because liberals assign them as a show off!

@@larbiel641 لسوء الحظ ، دمر وسائل الإعلام سمعتنا . لدي اسم إسلامية ،فی ابتداء الهجره واجهت كثير من المتاعب في توظيف حتى بمقهى و مطعم! استخدام لخبرتی الخاصه لم تكن ممكنة اصلا!. ، قمت بعمل بناء شاق مع رواتب منخفضة. ثم بدأت شركة شخصية اربعین سنه الماضي ، رأيت نفس مشکل فی العمل! حتى عندما إرسل بريد الكتروني إلى شركة الصينية أو لبعض الأجزاء إلى شركة الأمريكية الإجابات لم تكن مثيرة للاهتمام.! أقبل بعض هذه المشكلات کميسوليه لمجتمعنا المتخلفة. لكن في الغرب هذه الاشیاء یصبحوا مكبرة للغاية . شیء غير عادل و یتم العمل اکثر صعبا و اقل مثمرا بالنسبه ببلداننا ثم أسأل نفسي: إذا أعمل أكثرا واستفد اقلا بالنسبه من ابن عمي فی الموطن و في نفس الوقت لا أحترم لدی من جانب هدالمجتمع و اشعر العار من هویتی کل وقت. لماذا أتيت إلى هنا؟
