Sir, I would like to commend you and share with you how proud I was listening to you share with us your knowledge. I have unsuccessfully tried to encourage family members to never stop trying to practice speaking English. Their responses are so disappointing to me. The most common one being, “I’m embarrassed about what people think when they hear my accent”. It’s embarrassing for me to hear their excuse and see them not even trying. Please know how sincere I am in sharing with you how proud I felt listening to your video. Thank you. Jaime

I always keep in mind, that anyone who speaks with an accent, speaks another language that i probably can't. So who should really feel embarrassed?!! learning a new langage is a beautiful thing. Anyone who does so, has grown as a person and made their own world bigger. Shame is a USELESS feeling - no need to feel embarrassed, about an accent - they should feel proud! ...& keep practicing.

Great video! A question about the shroud… what did you tape around to make the shroud? And how did the vacuum stick go into the shroud chamber? Thanks
@MrYoucandoityourself2 жыл бұрын
Some shrouds has adapter for fit the air connector. I use the tape, because the brash on the shroud sensed down , and I just use tape . Also many of shrouds made by the peoples who never grinded concrete and always something missing. Tape help me fix it. Thanks

I've watched this and was thinking to myself.. obviously a European guy, with me being English I know. But near the beginning you said a 'inch'...? So I thought he must be in America.👍🏻😁 No chap from main land Europe would use Imperial measures, we use both in the UK, but it's metric all the way for you pal surely.. Had to sand down some latex screed today, uPVC back door was scraping the vinyl flooring. And a work mate did the prep. So it needed to be taken down but kept smooth and sweet. I used a multi tool with a rasp thing and it was a pain in the arse. But what you have just shown may have been too much . But for other jobs it's very handy to know. A pretty great video this.. Cheers mate. And that's from a professional floor layer of 30 years service..😁

Can I use this setup to remove a .25" layer of self-leveling compound? Is this a regular angle grinder with the shield removed? Would I need a diamond concrete grinding wheel? Thanks
@MrYoucandoityourself2 жыл бұрын
Depends how big area you need to remove. If it’s big, I would recommend chisel it out and then level again. This tool and blade exactly what you need.

Hi, thank you so much for this video. I've been wanting to have a grinded floor as I really hate the tile grout. I have a question, is this a self leveling compound floor you are grinding here? Or is it a concrete mix? Any idea what is the best ratio of white cement, aggregates, water and waterproofing compound for concrete topping?
@olegshevchenko18973 жыл бұрын
Hi, this is a real concrete slab. Self-leveling compound with more polymer components and looks different. I am using Mapei products and can recommend only this topping. Thanks!

Thanks for the video! I'm wanting to grind off some thinset and also level a spot in my basement, I have a Bosch 1375A 4.5" angle grinder, 5" ridgid diamond cup wheel and a Herzo 4-5" universal dust shroud. My grinder seems to have a brake to slow the tool down, which causes the wheel to spin off from the grinder as it's slowing down since the wheel doesn't slow down as fast, I asked Bosch and they said this grinder isn't set up for use with a diamond cup wheel. Is there a specific grinder you would recommend to work with the wheel and dust shroud that I have? Any advice here would be appreciated!

Hi James, Bosch not right tools for it. I recommend you DeWalt. Very durable and not expensive. I am using only DeWalt. Thanks!

Are these tools still the recommended ones for grinding? I have a Ridgid HEPA shop vac. Do I still need the Cyclone (link not working BTW)?
@MrYoucandoityourself3 жыл бұрын
Hi Allen, I have 3 vacuums - Ridgid, Dewalt and Festool. But for grinding concrete I always using cyclone. Sorry for this link, I will fix it. Thanks foe watching and commenting!

Thank you for the informative video. I was attempting a similar task today with less success. Looking at your tool list I am guessing that your 7in 8500rpm DeWalt grinder is much more powerful than my Makita 7in 6000rpm grinder and the main difference. And of course your skill and experience. Wish I had seen this video before I bought that Makita grinder!
@MrYoucandoityourself3 жыл бұрын
For your Makita grinder 15 Amps is Ok, but for my DeWalt need sometimes more- 20 Amps breaker. In some places very hard find it. Thanks for watching and commenting!

How come you dont use your dewalt vacuum? I have it and I never use the cyclone, too many extra parts and hoses. Dewalt dual filter works great for concrete Grinding, no bags or extra dust separators needed.
