I have been an architectural drafter for interior design for 27 years. (Old school hand drawing!) I just started taking auto cad classes, and In the first video alone, I’ve learned so much from you! The only exception is, we work in inches! Thank you for your excellent teaching method!

For the corners, i found that you can use the chamfer command. Just hold down the shift button and it joins two corners togetger instead of manually connecting and joining them together. While the chamfer command is active, hold down the shift button and choode the lines you want to join

HI Mr. Z, Im a beginner Cad user, using AutoCAD 2016 and i have a small question. When I am trying to do the first “P-line” at the beginning of the video i can’t seem to get the program to make then 10,000 millimeters. For some odd reason the measurements show up in a weird format, for example it would show "4e+27" as the length measurement. I took a screenshot of it but there doesn’t seem to be a place where i can attach the picture to this message on here. Do you know why this is? and how can i fix it? Also when i press enter after typing 10000, the measurement does not apply.

Hi I am a total beginner at this, just opened the program today and to be honest i'm already having issues, your video is very clear but for some reason when i try and draw my line with the 10000mm as my units it draws 97million i have tried adjusting my scales zooming in and out, i have no idea what setting i have on but i simply can't get this to work by typing in my units. any help would be greatly appreciated....

Hi, when drawing rectangles for doors in 3D my rec. does not move vertical but horizontal through the floor space. Why is this?

Mine works too. I used the Woodglut plans and performed it without any problems.
