Thank you Mike😊, I was not aware lookup function could be more effective than xlookup in some scenario. And I appreciate you always explain what is happening in the background and not just rushing through the arguments of a function. And totally agree with the intro that AI should be used responsibly - it is not just entering accurate prompts and getting correct answer - it is getting the best answer that suits your needs.

@excelisfun Thank you Mike. I have an idea regarding a next video and I think that one could be even 2 hours long considering the number of examples that come on my mind. Advanced LAMBDA functions. To be honest with you, even an advanced Excel user such myself, would need each bit of these advanced LAMBDA functions to be explained separately. I will appreciate a lot if you create such a video. Thank you in advance.

@@B1897forzajuve I have already made that video. How have you not seen it? Anyway, that is a more advanced video for this part of the class. I will have a video in this class on that topic, but at the end. Are you subbed and have you seen my KZbin home page intro video? @@excelisfun Of course I am subbed, Mike. This is the first Excel related channel that I subbed to many years ago. As a father of a small child, I might have missed it due to my limited time available for Excel nowadays :)

You may have to lean other languages that I do not teach like: SQL, R, Python and others. I just offer Excel and Power BI at my channel.

For complete beginner which playlist to watch old or this new ....
@excelisfun19 күн бұрын
The old one is still the best, because the pace is perfect, the only detail that is missing is dynamic spilled array formulas, and it is a complete class. Old complete class: kzbin.info/aero/PLrRPvpgDmw0n34OMHeS94epMaX_Y8Tu1k New, not complete for a few months: kzbin.info/aero/PLrRPvpgDmw0k7ocn_EnBaSJ6RwLDOZdfo

So nice lecture thank you mike. Sometimes, XLOOKUP can be used with # sign (at the end of the ()#). What does it mean? How can we use it with spill array operator?
@excelisfun4 күн бұрын
I have not seen # used like this: XLOOUP()#. # is the spilled range operator, like if the spilled formula: =UNIQUE(SORT(D9:D25)) is in cell G9, and you use the spilled values as the lookup values for XLOOKUP in this formula: =XLOOKUP(G9#,J9:J13,K9:K13) # means "please get all the values that sill from cell G9".
@teoxengineer4 күн бұрын
@ =XLOOKUP()# is being used in data validation list. I have seen some examples and I wanna understand how it runs.
@excelisfun3 күн бұрын
@@teoxengineer I have not seen that. I just tried to put XLOOKUP()# in Data Validation list textbox and it gives me an error. I also tried FILTER()# and it gave me an error also. Can you send me an example?
