Would you mind showing how to 'Dynamically get a list of checklist items based on type or category' like you mentioned at the end of the video? I'm trying to take your Part 2 and Part 3 videos and mash the process together but I am getting stuck without other resources to pull from. FYI, your videos are better than any Microsoft guidance and documentation out there.

Hi @Chad! When I´m trying to type in the enter at min 11:08 i get the message: " 'Inputs' is required". I tried to fix it with an space. But then the output of the "Compose split check list items to array" locks like this: " [ "Step", "1 Step", "2 Step", "3" ] You got any idea where the problem is? In the form I typed in: Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Thank you in advanced and thank you for this video series! BR

SOLUTION: If someone has the same error and is reading this, I have found the solution. The problem is the "new designer" in Power Automate, if you go back to the old designer, the Enter is no longer a problem.

Yeah, I'm finding more and more little to like that that don't work the same in the new editor. Really annoying, but at least there's an easy way back to the old editor.

@chad - Good one and thanks. I was wondering if you have solution to check the "Show on card" in PA workflow itself. TIA
@cvkealey8 ай бұрын
The last time I looked at this (October-ish of 2023), it was not possible to set the "Show on card" value in Power Automate, at least not using "out of the box" actions. It might be possible via an HTTP request, but I'm no expert on that.

@chad Thanks for all this videos. Is there a way to fill out the comment field from planner with using the forms formular?
@cvkealey Жыл бұрын
There are no actions in the Planner connector that support adding Comments to a task. There might be a way to do it via Microsoft Graph or an HTTP request, but either of those would be a bit complicated. Also, while using a MS Forms form to create tasks has a lot of utility, updating those tasks from a form submission is not something I'd recommend. In other words, once that task is created in Planner, you're best off just interacting with it there.

Hi @Chad I have the Yes/No choice in form and based on that I want to populate the Planner checklist checked or not checked. Can you please advise how to do that?
@cvkealey Жыл бұрын
When you're adding the checklist items, set the IsChecked property based on that question's response value.

@chad Thanks so much for these Videos they have been invaluable. In relation to this video I'm having issues when an attachment is not provided in the Form, in that the task is not passed through to Planner at all. Any ideas how to get around this?

Check your flow runs. They are probably failing because the parse JSON action is failing. See kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHO3notmmNJphLc for info on how to handle non-required file upload questions in the flow.

Thank you! How do I get the checklist items to automatically "show on card"
@cvkealey10 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, I have not found a way to reliably set the "show on card" property/attribute. It's likely possible using the MS Graph API, but I'm not well versed in that area. You might go to the Power automate community (powerusers.microsoft.com) and ask there.

Thanks a lot @chad for this videos!!! In relation with this video I don’t know why this message (Key with path checklist.id under $ is not found.) appear in the step “update task details”, everything is run well. Thanks a lot if you can help me.
@cvkealey2 жыл бұрын
I've not seen that exact message before. I suspect there's something amiss in the variable you're using to populate the checklist items, maybe a missing quotation mark. If you could post a message in the power automate community (powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Power-Automate/ct-p/MPACommunity) with screenshots of how the flow is configured and the error message, I can take a look. Feel free to tag me there (@Chad_V_Kealey).
