I’m late in viewing this but I have ppms…. I’m not so sure about this now

His take on PPMS is in interesting - seeing PPMS more/primarily more neuro-degenerative and less immune related - however is there any across the board differences? It didn't sound like an absolute. And there are too many successful HSCT, PPMS'ers to dismiss it seems. Burt is a genius and a sage in any case... so is Dr. Ruiz who does perform HSCT for PPMS...

I'm awaiting diagnosis, but can't get into a neurologist until September! Ugh. I'm currently breastfeeding, so no meds for me. I've read a lot about the protective nature, and then watching this seeing Dr. Burt talk about relapse after weaning. I'm very seriously looking into HSCT in Mexico, of course I can't be accepted until diagnosis. But I wonder what I should do up until that point? Continue on breastfeeding as long as possible?

Dr. Richard K. Burt and his Staff saved my life. I had Progressive Systemic Scleroderma. The Transplant stopped the progression of the disease. That was 2/22/2011 at Northwestern, at Chicago. I am now 75 years young thanks to Dr. Burt. He is my Hero.

Oh by the way, Dr. Burt's Book was great reading. I enjoyed it.
