Correction Trent. Damage Control were in two Spider-Man movies before this. They were cleaning up New York. Again, something Tony created ends up not panning out well 😂 Another interesting thing. G.W. Wilson said in a recent interview that she always intended Kamala to be a mutant, but Fox might have had a problem with it thus she was an Inhuman. Now with the buyout of Fox that's not a problem. I see this as Marvel honoring the wishes of the comic book creator.

I myself am actually very happy they made her a Mutant because 1. Mutants are way better than Inhumans anyways. People only care about Black Bolt, Medusa, Maximus and Lockjaw when it comes to them lol. 2. I think Kamala’s character fits with mutants a lot better thematically than being an Inhuman does and 3. The co-creator of Ms. Marvel herself, Sana Amanat, originally wanted her to be a mutant as well. But because of not wanting FOX to have the rights to use her character, they made her an Inhuman. Obviously it doesn’t matter now at this point since Disney bought FOX, but you get the point

Sanat Amanat who was one of the co-creators of the Ms Marvel character said in an interview that back in 2012 she and G Willow Wilson originally wanted her to be a mutant and not Inhuman.

Thank you both so much for all of your reviews and reactions of Ms. Marvel! You two feel the same as so many of us who fell in love with the show. Amongst its limitations because of the 6 episode format (a complete disservice to any show), the cast and crew did an AMAZING job. Like you, I look at all of the positives that the show gave us, what they tried to teach us, and convey to us. It was excellent, I will miss the show and cannot wait for more Iman Vellani appearance in any form.

I love all the shows equally, but this one was definitely a nice surprise. For the first time in the MCU history there was a small chance I wasn't going to be into it. I'm really happy I loved it as much as everything else. Finally getting the mutant drop was amazing, and hopefully this means no diet mutants in the future. Sorry I meant Inhumans.

I loved the series overall and the finale actually stuck to landing. Though I wish there was at least one episode between 5 and 6 back in jersey where we can spend time with the friends and family coming to terms with kamala's powers.

LOVE the scene where the community breaks the police barrier and surround Kamala. It reminds me of how back in the 2011 protests in Egypt, some Christian protesters joined hands in a circle to protect Muslim protesters during daily prayers.

38:14 The people complaining about this series are often the same people complaining that they want an adult Peter Parker in the MCU. They're missing that Kamala is taking the teen superhero role from Peter, and it frees him for an adult role. Kamala's existence is giving them what they wanted

The “no no no” made me think Kamala morphed into Captain Marvel as Kamala says “no no no” like that a few times in previous episodes. And didn’t something like that happen in the comics?

In the comics when she emerges from the cacoon she embodies Carol because she’s thinking about her undergoing terrigenisis. The picking up and seeing the Carol pictures and surprise being in her room makes me think this is Carol though

IMO if she changed into Carol that would negate her storyarc in the series. In the comics she changed into Captain Marvel because she thought that "little brown girls" are not superheroes. After she "accepted" her heritage and everything that's connected to it she droped the look and became Ms. Marvel.

I 100% agree. I enjoyed this show so much. Iman was amazing. When the x-men animated series music played and Trent cried it made me tear up. I feel people that are not into comics don't fully understand how much these stories and shows mean to us. I really appreciate the raw emotion Trent. Anyone that said they don't want to see this show because it was geared towards kids is insane. This show was awesome. I actually like that things seem all over the place, it keeps me guessing and theorizing where they will go next. Why would I want to know exactly what happens, that would be boring. I think when it all comes together it will blow people's minds. Can't wait for the next video. You guys are awesome. 👊🏼

I actually like the idea that the "hard light" that Kamala uses allows her to create armor as well as grow with her "embiggen," which actually provides increased strength (so that she can catch and control a falling car).

Keep tow things in mind. Low ratings, is actually wrong, as Ms Marvel is the HIGHEST rated show in the MCU with a 98% rating by critics. Second, the report that came out about "low viewership" the article that spoke about "the lowest viewed show after the first 5 days on Disney Plus." Nothing else can be found about the "viewership" of each episode after that. My whole point is that the haters and trolls get off on that, and people buy into it.

I think the song you are talking about is by Riz Ahmed famou actor from tv series ""The Night Of" and ""Venom"" and ""The sound of metal"" he is a v good rapper and often raps about his British Pakistani dual identity and what comes along it. It was a great show unfortunately not rated as such on IMDB due to some racist views and India/Pakistan rivalry as Indian media is extremely unhappy of this Pakisani super hero they hate Pakistan so much that they would not even that this also represents them. In IMDB if u see ratio of rating division its either mostly 10 (28.5% votes) or 1 (23.6%) which is unfortunate cz its definetely not a 1 thus such low ratings as Imdb is heavily influenced and have alot of Indian subscribers. Rotten Tomatoes represent this shows rating much better mainly being critics and even user rating is 80+. Hope this show comes back for 2nd season and not become victom of politics and racism. Loved ur reactions btw and specially how in syn you were in ur surprise when x-men reference came and when Captain Marvel made an entry. cheers

Kamran's powers make sense now she's a mutant, he's just got Clandestine (maybe human too?) DNA, so his control isn't as tuned as Kamala's because her X-Gene mutation allows her to have full control (without too much training) over the Noor energy. I like how the bangle too is a Nega band rather than having anything to do with her powers apart from activating her X-Gene. Which explains why it has the power to travel through space-time. Hopefully this leads to both a Mr Negative in Spider-Man 4, Negative Zone shenanigans in The Marvels and Fantastic Four AND hopefully Kamala meeting Professor X and perhaps getting some training (or maybe even joining the X-Men at some point!). I also hope that Agent Deever joins William Striker in further building up antagonists for Mutant kind.

Damage Control is using modified Stark Industries drones and Hulk-buster sonic weapons. The only reason they are "non-lethal" to the SWAT guys is because of their body armor and for the Clandestine it was because they were Djinn.

This actually has wider implications. With Kevin Feige as creative director for Marvel Studios and the wider comic universe now we can finally see someone roll back the Inhumans story to where it should be with the history of Marvel comics. Because of the fight with the rights to XMen Marvel tried to introduce the Inhumans as a replacement. This was all a push by Pearlmutter to have a mutant type character without promoting the XMen line when was in the hands of Fox Entertainment. Now with Feige beating out Pearlmutter for creative control and Disney putting Marvel Studios in the creative control of Marvel storylines along with the purchase of the older properties we can now have the XMen and the mutants back in Marvel stories.
