Mennonite communities often have mixed race families through adoption, so this is not as unusual as you may first believe. It’s actually much more important that the couple both have joined the Mennonite church.

Not unusual at all, many of our families do interracial adoptions. These children grow up and marry, our hope is not what shade of skin the person our child marries, but that they marry in the Lord to Godly partners.
