MSC Virtuosa Cruise from Dubai, Christmas 2021

We are finally back onboard a cruise ship after 24 long months of wait! We boarded MSC Virtuosa, MSC Cruises’ largest ship currently in service along with the Grandiosa. Obviously due to the ongoing pandemic, this sailing is quite different from all our past cruises, with events toned down and many perks missing. However, we did not let that take the best of this cruise, but of course with proper precautions and strict adherence to health protocols. We absolutely enjoyed the food, the beautiful ship, Sir Bani Yas Cruise Beach. This is our milestone 10th cruise on MSC and we were pleasantly surprised onboard by the cruise line with a lovely cake presented to us by our wait staff in the main dining room. Hello, thanks for the comment! Yes we absolutely had a fantastic cruise on the Virtuosa, though overall the experience was a bit toned down compared to our pre-pandemic cruises but MSC did try their best to make it a memorable holiday. Hopefully the situation finally improves so that we can all go back to our regular cruising! Stay safe always!

Hello & thanks for your lovely comment. We booked a guaranteed interior cabin. As to my advice on booking, at this point in time, cabin prices vary extensively specially because of uncertain travel conditions. Before I used to book our cruises up to 2 years in advance to get the best rates but on this particular cruise, I booked just a week before the sailing and got a very good deal! So all I can say is to keep shopping for cruise rates until you spot a great deal specially if your schedule is flexible. Happy shopping!

Hi! When boarding, how do they check the Covid vaccination certificates? Do they need the original or is a copy enough?

Hi, as we are Dubai residents, they checked our Alhosn app for authenticity. For foreigners, I believe they would need PCR certificates with QR Code to validate.

Hi Jobish, thanks for the sub! If you are based in Dubai, you can contact Sharaf Travel for the booking. The cost varies depending on cabin type & season/date of your sailing. You can contact the travel agent so they can give you specific information based on your actual sailing date. Hope that helps!

@@jobishgeorge6609 yes I believe Sharaf Travel handles Abu Dhabi as well. You can send them WhatsApp on 0558846189. I think for approx AED 5K to 7K you’d be able to get an Interior Cabin for a week-long sailing & that’s for 2 adults 2 kids occupancy. But please check with Sharaf for the exact price. All the best!

Люди!! На Вертуозе отдых это издевателтство над туристами!!! Не верьте лживой рккламе, там отношение к туристам как к ненужной вещи!!! Такого позорного и подлого отношения к себе наша семья не испытывала нигде. От гнилых яблок и холодных обедов до пренебрежения и хамства работников. Господа берегите себе нервы и свои деньги .... увы нам это из ща отлыха на Вертуозе не удалось.((
