MSC Virtuosa Hola Mexican Speciality Restaurant - All You Can Eat - Is it Worth it ? Full Review

I ate in here on Virtuosa a few months ago, and it's genuinely one of my favourite speciality restaurants at sea. I love the fact that it's a 'premium' eatery, but without feeling stuffy. Also, the fact you can use your drinks package in here is brilliant!

Good morning Stacey and Kev. I went to this restaurant on the Meraviglia. We had OBC so used that to pay. $17.99pp is a great value. I would not use a specialty dining for this. We absolutely loved this restaurant. Everything we ate was so good! Tasting " in the name of science". Lol. Thank you both so much for bringing me back there. ❤

Hi You two, I have now watched a few of your videos about Virtuosa and like your take on things. I am due to sail on her this October and the excitement is building, some time still to go but time to do my research, watch your videos and ignore the sometimes griping that goes on in the 'forums' . Was a bit sad that the Mexican restaurant had little for veggies but maybe I can do some chopping and changing like you did. We shall see. I had high hopes for this restaurant because none of the other speciality places are vegetarian-friendly.

All you can eat, Kev and Stacey. Is it worth it? Of course it is, but we first thought buffet when we saw the title. This is a different concept from what we've seen before. Love the idea and the price was right! Loved all the taco's and burrito's. We could also do it justice but don't know if we could keep up with the two of you! We'd enjoy nap time afterwards too. I’m fed up with people like The Trackers talking about food, going into great depth about every single aspect as if they’re the world’s leading authority on it..which they clearly are not. You two, on the other hand, just say it as it is….no fancy talk. Food is to be enjoyed, not analysed. Loved watching this, brought back many happy memories. We loved Hola, but, were absolutely stuffed afterwards lol. I think you dod better than us with those desserts ha. When we go in March, we are booking Hola twice, once on the first day ( as we wont have eaten all day ) and then the last night too ( to keep us going the following day on the way home ha ) . It is absolutely incredible, and as you say, for the money - it would be daft not to do the all you can eat one price option. looking forward to your next vlog...Terry x

I could just eat some of their tacos. Thats the best way to do it one at the start and the other at the end of the week. Ye dont know why anyone would do the normal menu l. I would also recommend trying one of the Mexican bottled sodas for that extra experience

@@ccook92 you have to book when you get on board. We always book the restaurant as soon as we get onboard, that way, youre guaranteed the day and time you want..hope that helps

I am hoping my husband goes for it with me- we don't usually pay for food on the cruises, and ours actually sails to Mexico so he thinks we should just get tacos there for a few pesos each (which we will do also! We have some favorite food stands we like to go to in Cozumel, far from port); but this also looked so delicious.

Love your virtuoso video's, I'm sailing that ship 24th April with 3 friends for a 3 nighter ! Any tips? We're looking to do one specialty restaurant and stick to buffet and the inclusive restaurant for the rest. My eye is looking at teh steak house, but ..... What do you 2 think?

The Steakhouse is really nice and definitely worth a try. With you having 3 nights just make sure you use your app religiously as it tells you what is on in every location and a hour by hour breakdown. This can then maximise and make the most of what you get to do on board. The buffet is brilliant, we preferred this over the main dining room the second time we went on. And most Importantly just have a brilliant time 😁

Going to be on Virtuosa tomorrow. and you were close on the drink name. The "J" make a "H" sound so it sounds like Harritos. Just change the j for an h and you pronounced it perfectly

Excellent video. Well done you young persons! Enough food to choke a goat! You have to try everything once except incense and folk dancing! Question: In your honest humble opinion. How does the food compare on this MSC ship to the Britiana? In terms of variety and quality? I ask because I have just returned from a trip on the Britiana and the food was very good and on occasions simply fantastic. Would like to try MSC if the standard of food is on par with P&O. Happy Days!

Haha thanks Gary and to be honest the buffet is loads better on the msc and the main dining room is much better on the Britannia. Speciality Restaurant wise they are both really good although the msc ones are themed better inside 👍

Hi you can book the speciality restaurants package before you go via the app. You have to pay there and then for that when u book. Then when you embark, go and sort out what day/ time you want. With the hola Mexican restaurant we booked it the day we embarked the ship then once we had eaten there the bill got added onto our bill for the week. Hi they were about €3.50 each and we did when on a sunlounger or having a walk on the top deck but obviously wouldn't in restaurants or in any bars/lounges on the ship.

No point in the drinks package for us as my daughter is fussy and only drinks tesco coke (can’t complain at 45p a bottle). Makes me smile when you drive down from Stoke to Southampton for your cruises as we live in Southampton but drive to Alton Towers a lot so know the drive very well 😃

Not 100% sure. You might be able to use it for normal drinks like coke and beer but i doubt you could have the mexican sodas with it. We didn't have a drinks package

More Spanish than Mexican. So for me this change is very interesting. I will get the all you can eat offer when I am on Virtuosa in december. Will not eat all day and then....lol
