I think you are probably correct. It is somewhat strange that we have had a bunch of player friendly changes the last year, but a significant amount of ppl feel like msf is in a bad state. Your POV would help explain why that is.

Battleworld needs to come out to really give another exciting thing for MSF. I am glad they aren't rushing it out with bugs though.

Battlegrounds and memories or whatever they are called . (The new team progression system) will add some excitement in the game. One thing i noticed is they have make the rewards less relevant compared to a small spending. (They took away the diamonds from the raid and them war season rewards) They also have made it that top alliance or casual alliance dont have much of a difference in rewards nowadays so a f2p hard core player on top 100 alliance is on same level with a player at a top 500 alliance who spends on the passes. (Maybe the light spender is ahead now) That was not the case 1 year ago.

Long post incoming... TL;DR: Gear/Currency conversion is a low effort solution to some significant problems. Part of the problem of no new content is the aging out of previous content. Precursor, yes this is an end game player issue, but since they don't make it very new player friendly we're what they have to depend on. - CURRENCY: There is so much currency in the game at the moment that is practically useless. Blitz credits are worth very little and I typically only use them when they either finally add a character to the orb as a farmable feature or if I really need some gold. The rest of the gear credits I have no use for whatsoever. Raid credits are even worse since you can't get gold from those orbs and the gear raid orbs are so plentiful that I'd have to dig through thousands of orbs to see if I can spend those raid credits on those orbs. Any of the War Store credits sit and collect dust because there's nothing of value there either. I'd imagine we're all sitting on our Elite War credits waiting for crimson orbs. Same with CC credits. Silver and Gold promo credits are irrelevant now too. They wait entirely too long to make changes or updates that by the time they do everyone has too much that they have to way overprice the stuff and then either it's too expensive after the spending spree or they just ignore that currency. - ORBS: We might as well all be playing in the ball pit with as many orbs as I'm sure a lot of players are sitting on. Orange gear orbs and below, useless. Teal gear orbs, good if you're still working towards DD6 but if you're done, mostly useless. Crimson, I'll be honest, I was surprised they opened up access to those relatively quickly. We're not flooded with them but they are accessible. They should really make more use of the legacy 1/2/3 orbs to clear out older toons from campaign nodes and use the campaign nodes for more useful characters. Now I'm not saying meta characters should be available on Heroes 1-3 or something like that but let players build up the more useful raid toons for example there and get the outdated/semi useful characters from the legacy orbs. The milestone orb I seem to recall them saying would be updated more regularly after they moved from Milestone II to Milestone III orbs, but it's been a couple of years so I'm sure they're working on that. I'll give Scopely some credit, their recent store revamp was very player friendly and I think steps like that with other stores would be great. As for the two major issues I mentioned though, and I know they've said in the past they really don't want to go this route, but allowing currency and gear conversion would be a great way to solve both. It gives old/lower tier gear orbs value again and help to keep currency from stockpiling. I don't think something like a 10:1 upgrade ratio would be game breaking. You'll still need some of the lower level gear for when new characters come out so you won't convert it all. Even scaling up the ratio as you get higher since orbs are as plentiful as they are could make some sense. I know gold isn't as much of an issue as it was in the past (unless you're just buying all your crimson gear from the store) but maybe letting players sell some of their heaps of gear back for gold could help keep some balance. Bottomline though is the devs let stuff get outdated and build up when there are solutions that could alleviate some of that without having to build new stuff from scratch and could solve some of the stability issues by reducing the orb stockpile (maybe even get it to a point where the open all wouldn't be a desired feature since we're not holding on to so many).

the monthly events im mostly okay with ho those are constantly similar, which variety is nice id rather them keep it constant and not fuck it up massively. for the awakened abilities I agree the old way was nicer with the special saga to unlock it. that could be a way to motivate people to invest in the team still. like you need to get them to g17 to go through there mini campaign to get the awakened abilities

Hi from Germany! It‘s a pay to win game. But war mode is really cool, as long as you have 23 other players in your team. I like the tactic in war. I totally agree that the price system is at a non realistic rate. They should rebalance tiers, introduce a more transparent character development system and offer a monthly rent system like Netflix, Disney etc. If this is completed, we have a game with elements enough of a stand alone game, which can be played, even when the servers go offline. But two other questions: 1. global chat: As the game is unbalanced and pay to win, player search for war is not based on the tactical fitness of a gamer but exclusively on the point value of his team. I was really shocked when reading: if your team value is more than 20.000.000, I kick a gamer of my team and you can join us. Is this just a development on the European Server or is this world wide? 2. Old Man Logan After Wolverine being burned down to the adamantium skeleton in Civil War 1 and healing this with his healing factor I paused buying Marvel Comics. How did Marvel explain that Wolverine gets old? Thanks for reading my thoughts. Bye.

We should have legendary events every 2/3 months. And the routine needs to keep people interested, I think the game is being more and more monetize but I guess they need to keep the lights on. But it’s just an addiction for most and something to enjoy with a group. This arena milestone right now has nothing to do with separating the f2p, it’s all cash spots for the community on rankings which is not ideal for 85% of the community. You need to blend both communities f2p and spenders

I think MSF is decent when you are newer, and if you are a Marvel fan..if not a Marvel fan I feel like there isn’t enough to this game to make it “fun” enough. It’s more of a daily “task” of doing all the game modes and progressing..which is not ideal for most people. If your a veteran player it’s very easy to get into that hole of feeling like it’s more of a daily task, tedious to even try and finish, rather than that of it being something you do out of joy and genuine pleasure. We def need more plug n play and variety amongst synergy with characters. I also think more modes based on actually playing the game for fun instead of competition/roster progression would be nice.

i think that most people are looking too closely at this big picture. ive heard this year from normally cynical content creators that they are enjoying the game more than they have in a while. At some point the game doesnt have to produce new game modes, and updating existing ones to make them harder is it. I know its for views, but i dont understand why there has to be all of these negative posts all the time. Its a game.
@bogroll18817 ай бұрын
The monetisation along with boring content is not engaging with alternatives cheaper and better eg D4 (now much better) on offer at $30 for the full game - unless you are finishing something specific like BBA or DD6 unlocks then you are in a 6 month period before you can get into DD7 and the game gets boring
@chrisdudley31378 ай бұрын
Tauna started to play marvel rivals, how many updates do you think that will get for game modes in its total run time? I doubt anywhere near as much as MSF If you go back to what MSF was when it came out to what it is now, it has definitely got better, most mobile games don't get regular game breaking updates in a positive way We are getting a new game mode soon, but they are making sure it's great from the start, I'd rather that then them push out another broken piece of rubbish
@Tauna8 ай бұрын
Of course the game has gotten better in a lot of ways, and it's also got more money-grabbing and awful in other ways.
@chrisdudley31377 ай бұрын
@Tauna I agree, but I wouldn't say at this point it's stagnant, 2 years ago it was way worse then it is now, my true worry is with 2 CMs leaving will the community be heard like it was
@kekipark778 ай бұрын
i bet this is the most expensive game in the world. each individual character in MSF, if purchased with real money, costs more than a AAA blockbuster game. and the crazy thing is, so many people buy them at these prices. yet with all the money scopely makes from this game, i bet it is also the most buggy game in the world. so... where is all the money going? lol definitely not to the developers!
@dethclaw8 ай бұрын
I feel that the game has gone into maintenance mode way too many times. I don't think that Boundless has any plans for another project but have ran empty for their current title and it shows. I feel like they love "big" numbers everywhere, which makes planning and balancing difficult. I truly feel that when MSF is no longer profitable that Scopely will close the studio due to not having another game in the pipeline.

I dont want new content without removing something. Blitz would be my first suggestion for removal.
@tomestone8 ай бұрын
The thing is they need to go back over the old game modes and redo them all, blitz is crap, arena is hot garbage, the payouts are total rubbish, war is boring and always punching up and so is CC. The problem with the game ATM is they refuse to change these game modes, and they have an excuse they want to focus on new content, but new content won't be available at the start of the game like arena and blitz is and people will leave because of how boring they are
