It is, it's a form of greeting, called Hongi. You press your noses together while grasping hands in a handshake. Some do it twice, others do it three times. It's sharing the breath of life, it's a very personal greeting. I think it was a little too up close and personal for MJ, he seemed very uncomfortable with it.
