MSFS 2020 - PMDG 737-800 | Full KLM flight to rainy Manchester

Short KLM flight to very dull and rainy Manchester. We got some beautiful views on our departure out of Amsterdam with nice cloud formations all along our route. While approached Manchester the Approach controller came online and offered us a nice straight in for RWY 23R. Unfortunately we were a bit high but lowering the gear gave us plenty of drag to catch the glideslope without any issue.

Yeah it’s a common MSFS bug when landing slightly crabbed. It’s like landing on an ice runway with absolutely no grip

The views glitched a bit with the fog layer. Strange effect appeared around the engines unfortunately

Why the hell are you lowering landing gear at 240 knots?

For exactly that reason. I received a shortcut and had to reduce both speed and altitude in a short distance. The gear works as a very effective speedbrake and has a max. Extended speed of 270kts. Have a look at PilotMax landing video in Tirana, it’s a common practice :)
