Not a bad thing to do, but still worth flying right now. It runs great in sim and to be honest, you do not really notice any of the missing features to much once you are in the air. I just hope Taog works with Asobo so we can use the helicopters in SAR missions.

Great control - do you have a separate collective joystick ?

I use the Virpil AH-64 collective along with Thrustmaster rudder pedals and the Thrustmaster HOTAS stick. Need some new pedals. I have the cheaper version Thrustmasters sells, but they are small and stick. They do the job, but make smooth turns almost impossible at times.

What about the VRS in 2024 rotors ? Seams there's no ground effect simulated ...

I did not see any official announcement from Taog stating these worked. I downloaded all 3 of his products and dropped them in the community folder. All seem to fly just fine, but I would expect an official 2024 patch from Taog bringing them up to speed with 2024 to inlcude ground effects. The Lama and Alloute are actually listed as the same helo. If you want to fly the other one, you need to go to liveries and select it. Another bug that will be ironed out I am sure. Would not surprise me if I need to download a new version sooner than later. I was just impatient and wanted to fly them now.

Man, VR performance has been extremely poor on my 4080 Super, I wish I was having your experience.

One thing I did that helped was turned DLSS off. I was surprised I got better performance. I have a higher end PC still so that has to help a little to.

@@Devil-mn3dc everything is pretty smooth until I get around the hover altitude. Then its pretty choppy and makes the hover difficult. Maybe its my 10th gen CPU...

I don't understand the people that program/design these games. You animate a pilot sitting there as you "the pilot" walk up. Then you get in on the right seat and there's NO legs, NO arms NO body. Yet they have NPC's sitting beside you in aircraft that REALLY do take two people to fly and they do NOTHING. They waste time on all this useless dialogue and "radio chatter"

To be fair, Taog has not updated these to my knowledge to fly with 2024 yet. I downloaded his latest version of the Alouette, Lama, and A-star and dropped them in the community folder. They fly look and fly great, but need some attention with minor bugs. This is no fault of Asobo or Taog right now as they have not even announced these are compatible yet. I just got impatient and tried it. I am willing to live with the minor bugs until they are brought up to 2024 standards. Asobo has always been good to their word patching and correcting issues. It will get ironed out, that I have confidence in.
